Safety device fitted in my scooter

As I have shared earlier, my scooter was ALMOST stolen from the hospital gate, I am lucky the thief couldn’t break or open the handle bar lock. Today my son fitted a safety device, it is electronically operated, as soon as someone will try to move my scooter, a loud sound like a siren is produced, enough to alert nearby, a little jerk to scooter is enough to trigger it, at the same time another device in my pocket will produce sound too, I can rush to the spot. If somebody breaks the handle bar lock and tries to go away, this device wills not only produce sound continuously at both ends but also switch off the ignition bring the scooter to a dead stop. Hats off to the modern technology, those are so helpful. Do you use any such or any other device to protect your car, bike or home? Please share your views and comment on this. Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . 23/9/2011

This apperatus you have gotten sounds great. I almost hope the same person tries to steal the scooter again. THis way you can catch him and have him sentenced as he should be. I would love to see this in action. Technology is really something now days and this safety device should do the trick.

Hi Professor, you are very lucky that your scooter was not stolen on that day. I must have missed out that discussion. Same here, my hubby had installed a safety device to our car. Nowadays, it is very dangerous to park the car or bike without any safety device being installed. It is better to invest our money into buying safety device rather than let our car or bike being stolen. Have a nice weekend...

Hello Papa! I am happy to hear your son place this remote device. Sounds like the device I had installed in my Jeep. After the first new Jeep was stolen I had this kind of device placed. It is wonderful as it had a little screen on my key holder and it will beep if someone is tampering. It also indicates what part of the car is being tampered with. Yes technology though a bit expensive, certainly saves us in the long run from being wronged.

Good thing, with new technology the old saying " an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" still applies , Yeah better to spend a little than be sorry and lose much later on. Some thieves will destroy something they fail to steal so the alarms would be very helpful.

Hi professor2010 I also have this type of device fitted in my Car but i don't have another siren for my pocket which will produce sound. This device that your son fitted is really good. But i think thief will find a way to break that or make that off. Thieves are also known about these type of gadgets as their work is thief. A thief theft my car stereo some days back instead of having center locking also. these are really annoying people.

oh very sad one sir. in my opinion better you can sell your scooter because it will cause more expenses to you. you can hand over the bike to any motor dealers they will give good money. so dont waste your time sir sell the bike for good rate so that you can get a new scooter. but be safe to handle your bike sir just a careless of ten minutes will bring the dangerous things like this.
