Here on myLot, Do You Prefer More To Start A New Discussion Or Respond ? Why?

I feel more creative initiating to write discussions rather than answer or make a comment on other discussions. I can express myself more and be more intuitive when I'm the one who started it. But as i've observered, most people here prefer to answer and respond to other's discussions.

I'm noticed that I'm not into that both. Up until now I just had started with 5 topics. And I've been made lots of responding and comment recently but then it just 60 like that. I spend more time on reading others comment and discussion. Unfortunately we are not paid by reading, huhuhuhuhu.

When I first started on MyLot I always used to mainly start discussions; but now I mainly respond to other members discussions and rarely start my own. I always feel under pressure to make sure that I respond to all the people who respond to my own discussions and worry if I'm away from MyLot for a few days that I have not responded to people who have joined in my discussions.

I just want to ask, are you obliged to respond if someone commented on your discussions?

You are not 'obliged', but by responding you are actually turning your original question or comment into a real discussion and not just a list of comments. Also remember that you write on MyLot, so be responding to people's comments you are not only making a better discussion but increasing you earnings!!

I still prefer to respond. The reason is simple, cause I still have some trouble to find an idea to start a topic :) Beside that, I'd also like to see the other participants' respond on the current topic. It's nice to see how others respond to the same interest I have. That's it. :)

i really love to respond, because it's very hard for me to become a topic starter... i am just like a water, whatever the shape of the pale, the shape of the water also follows....

Hi, I find starting a discussion here to be so challanging and needs a 'good brain' to keep on answering back mylotters' commends. So, I like answering on other people's topics, just to learn how the starters respond..., maybe to acquire a new technique and use it someday in my discussions.. Happy time

I prefer to respond, I find new members start a lot, but after a few years, you just shouldn't have that much to ask about... now, I have someone on my friend's list who almost only starts discussions and they can be about the most inane things... she's still on my friends list, but I turned off her discussions...

It is far better for beginners to answer and comment more than start new discussions. First of all, answering and commenting answers is the perfect exercise to learn how things work, to discover who from other users worth to be followed (his/her discussions), to find out opinions, tips, tricks, facts, rule explained and lot of details. Answering discussions as beginner is a way to learn what kinda topics are meant to be popular and which have little chances to b answered. Third, launching a discussion and having zero or very few answers is lowering the moral. Not to mention that answering you expose yourself and if you performed well, odds are you'll get people rating you - is more likely to be rated than if you start a discussion. And finally, is that here, in mylot, there is not about how many posts you make. Is about quality answers and comments. Is about getting involved into with the best you can give and not at all about making tons of new discussions.

I prefer answering to discussions for the following reasons: 1) I want to reach 500 comments so I can copy and paste from a word doc, I am always a victim of disappearing page whenever I hit the post response button 2) If i post a topic, i feel responsible to stay in mylot to respond to the comments from other members. I don't have much time to stay longer and most of the time I can get back to the responses after a few days already. If I simply comment to posted topics, I can leave it behind and get back to it whenever I am convenient.

I am new to mylot. And I start my own topic when I want to. I also respond to someone else topic. I do both. I guess it is better to respond to other topics too because you gain more knowledge. It is always good to read what other peoples topic and not only start your own. Earning is better too when you respond to other discussions. Best regards!
