I would never let a stranger some in my home and sleep through the night. I'm not a mean person, I just don't think it's a smart thing to do. They could be a murderer and you would never know. I know that helping others is a good thing to do but there is a limit to what I will do to help them.

maybe you are right.and I do think you are a very kind and helpful person.but I forgot to tell you detailly.in this internet ,your ID and emage has been the managing sisterm xonfirmed and the helper is also be vetified. So in this group ,the posibility of a murder go into your room is very small.

I have read about couch surfing and think it is ideal for a single person for a couple. It would work best for one to three nights rather than a two week stay. The person could eat out and just have a bed or couch each night. It would be helpful to read some reviews of the host from other travelers that have couch surfed. It would be best to have one smallish backpack or holdall bag rather than many pieces of luggage. It is a way to get free accommodation and in some places I imagine there are many hosts for couch surfing like America yes but Russia no. I travel with my 4 year old disabled son and my 2 year old daughter. I like to stay in guest houses, in friends houses or in unusual accommodation. Due to having a family I haven't tried couch surfing.

Thanks for explaining exactly what is couchsurfing. I would not have just anyone stay at my house for free. My friends can come to stay but not an unknown person. I would think to let them pay a small amount, but I have had the experience that when you give something for free, the other person thinks it is worthless.

it is a very good site and not the only one , but certainly the luckiest one with the media and spread , if you are availble and ve a couch , do it ,, if you have ny kind of barrier , such as a family ,etc ,, then don't ,, it needs some one with a special kind of life , able to travel, socialize and accept the other and eager to know and grasp other cultures and idiologies , a true open minded person will be best to join couchsurfung groupe or any similar sites that provides such sort of activities..i wish to try it myself one day i hope

I would never let a stranger in my home. I'm not a mean person, I'm just aware that they could be a murderer, or an escaped convict on the run. When you meet someone you only know what they want you to know. I like to help people if I can but there is a limit to what I will do to help them.
