Loyalty cards- is it worth it?

A lot of loyalty cards are being offered by shopping centers and other establishments. However, the discount and freebies that you'll get out of these cards will also pretty much be spent in membership renewal fees or annual fees. Do you think it's worth getting those loyalty cards? Why or why not?

The problem is, sometimes you have more than one card for the same purpose. For instance, I have two loyalty cards for two different supermarkets so sometimes, I have to choose which gives more points. But basically, their point system are very much the same.

I have two loyalty card from two separate malls and I have another loyalty card for a particular store. The freebies are really pretty pathetic.I just use it as a wallet filler hehe. I think you should only get one if you really do shop regularly in that mall or store. There are some instances where registration or renewal will be free like during anniversaries and stuff. If you want to get one then good but the thing is don't expect a lot from it.

That is a good question. I have a number of loyalty cards. Some I have not used at all because I rarely go to those stores. The ones I use are quite worth it I would say. Takes time to accumulate the rewards, but when it gets to reward level, it's appreciable.

My mom has some loyalty cards, and she gets good deals from them, but she always finds coupons too.
