How to embed swf in tumblr

I came across this flash tag cloud from tag-cloud.de, but I can't make it work. The original code from ronytanck.com uses swfobject.embedSWF, with the script for swfobject.js in the head and cloud.xml and image.swf in the body. However, he also said he hasn't tested it on tumblr. I pointed them in the right locations on the web, and that I think is where my problem lies. I tried static upload on tumblr, but I don't know how to verify if they still work after upload. I don't have experience in java, and I would like to ask you java-skilled mylotters this. Has anybody successfully embedded swf in tumblr?
