I wonder if Castiel's really gone of he's just somewhere in the purgatory trying to get out after the whatchamacallit being took over his human host body. I thought his reign as god would last for more than one episode. I was even enjoying his crazy "acts of a just god". ^^ And I just can't understand what's going on with Sam now. Is he just hallucinating or Lucifer is really with him every minute and every second of the day, torturing him and making him go insane. I wonder what's in store for the show this season..

I have finished season seven of supernatural. Castiel is actually still alive, that I can assure you as he has been found alive by a woman but he lost his memory. Don't worry, later in the episode he does regain his memory but a little psycho and funny now because he suffered a period of insanity by transferring Sam's mental illness into himself. Anyway, he is still going to assist Dean and Sam in the last episode. ha... can't wait for season 8.

Hi! I'm regularly following Supernatural so I know the latest. Dean is in purgatory and Castiel left him!!!

Castiel's acts of god are hilarious. I thought that they would stretch out that arc, but I guess they want to establish the Leviathans as the monsters of the season, instead of Cas. It would be an incredible bad move if they get rid of him, though. A) The fans would be beyond pissed off. and B) Why would a Leviathan destroy a perfectly occupy-able, extremely powerful, and knowledgeable ARCHANGEL body? I was concerned about Sam after he got his soul back, but after the second episode, I'm outright terrified! Its so hard to tell if he really is hallucinating or not. On one hand, whatever he sees seemed to be going away after he felt[real?]pain. But then how in the world is Lucifer, who is quite literally locked in a cage in the fiery depths of Hell, able to create illusions that are so in depth (the Impala ride with fake!Dean to the fake!Office)? And if he is just hallucinating, how did he disappear from the storage closet in the lab facility towards the end of the first episode? It makes no sense!

I think because the Leviathans are more older than Castiel so they were able to destroy his human host's body and kicked Cas out of it. ^^ By now we both know that Sam has stopped hallucinating. But I'm thinking that Sam is backed with being "soul-less". You know, it feels like he's starting to "not feel" again.
