Though tough on crime, I would any time rather see even a guilty walk free than have an innocent person behind bars. I wonder what would have happened had DNA not been available to these Texas people - http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/10/04/ap/business/main20115374.shtml

Wow. I think Texas should reexamine their criminal justice and penal system.

Does this also make you wonder about the Troy Davis case? What if Troy Davis was indeed an innocent man in Georgia?

Hi, Yes. Maybe we as a nation ought to reexamine our criminal justice and penal system. Thanks for giving me, "Best Response."

You are welcome. I hope somethings indeed change. I just cannot stomach knowing an innocent person spent more than 48 hours in prison or, worse, executed!

Oh my gosh! After reading this I feel that Texas is a scary place. I mean taking away 25 years of life from an innocent man? That is just so disappointing. Those 25 years cannot be paid of by any amount of dollars. It was time and life lost and those things can't be bought back with any amount of money on any store.

We had our share of Texans running the government.

Well there might actually be a lot more innocent people in jail today even in our place. Some even die in jail without even being given a chance to get out and clear their names. I just can't imagine how their families felt, specially those with young kids.
