I think that it is human nature to always want something better. But, too much of it can lead to discontent. An example is the classic case of wanting what the person in the other table ordered after receiving the food you ordered. Just because you think that you should have ordered that other food instead, you start thinking that the food I ordered is not good. So, I think the key is to balance wanting something to improve your life against always wanting things you cannot not have and not satisfying your self at all.

I think that the grass always seems greener on the other side of the fence. However it is not the case really. People always want more than they have got. Some people are greedy for more money. Each country has its advantages and disadvantages. Some other countries seem better places to live than my home country. I think many Brits that moved to Australia are happy there and are living a much better life. The Brits that had lived in New Zealand had loved living there but their wealth went down every year. Yes, we don't see beyond closed doors so others lives can seem better.

we always think like that because we envy what other people have and what we don't have... that is just our nature as humans that had fallen into sin... including me... but i try my very best now to be content and grateful with what i have and what God has given to me... that makes my life happier... take care and have a nice day...

Everyone of us has his share of problems as well good friends and times. It is only that on certain occasions our problems appear magnified due to the circumstances we are in.It then appears that the grass is greener on the other side.We have to maintain our balance and poise and overcome these tough situations by trying harder.

What is visible to the eye is not a complete picture of anyone that we observe. It is a total package and if one can have an access to one's total package it may not look rosy after all. I never envy anyone. As I know it is not how much one has but what one makes of what one has is important.

I think I have a similar attitude to you. Even we have good things, we always look to the other and think they are better than us. But I don't think it is a bad attitude, depends on how you use it. If you just thought everything the other people do is better than what you do, you would be always dissapointed with yourself and would never see your good points. But if you use the better things from other people to try to be a better person, you will always grow up. So it is not a bad thing at all. The important point is to think the other person grass is greener, but I will do all to have the same or better. It will makes us to try to get better all the time. Happy mylotting.
