The 2012 Toyota Fortuner - This 7-seater monsters SUV is now available in the Philippines. Cool new face-lift. It looks like the 2012 Hi-lux. The World is Mine

This SUV has both gasoline and diesel variants. It also has a great fuel efficiency. I wonder why there is no Fortuner in UK. There are many 2012 Fortuners already on the streets of the Philippines. Toyota is really a best-selling company in Asia. The new headlights give it a more executive look. Fortuner owners out there, what are the cool new features and improvements that the new Fortuner sports?

Hi francismalz! Fortuner had already been in the Philippine market for so long now, and I believe that Toyota should really retired this model and come out with a newer one, just like what they always do in a first class country. Though I really think that it have improved the looks of the new Fortuner (more sporty to even up with Montero Sports), I think there's just a little improvement particularly in the engine (still carries the 4 speed AT where competition have gone to 5 speed already). Maybe the emergence and popularity of Montero Sports in the SUV market have made Toyota to released and came up with a new face lifted version of Fortuner. By the way this is just my own opinion. Have a nice day!

Hi tholitz! The Fortuner was released somewhere around 2005. Yes. Fortuner's been in the Philippine country for a long time. That's also what I've noticed. The looks are the most significant improvement but wit the same engine, the D-4D Diesel. Yes. It's not only the looks how a buyer criticizes a car. On the other hand, Mitsubishi hasn't changed the looks of the Montero Sport.

Yes, it is a cool vehicle from Toyota, but it is also a gas guzzle too no matter how efficient the company claim to be one as a SUV. As a foreign car maker from Asia, Toyota's manaufactured vehicles may not be as receptive and popular among Brit. car buyers as those make in Europe by European makers. It is just the way it work for the European car market in general, the management may come to the conclusion that their Fortuner SUV model shouldn't be exported into Britain car market for strategy reason.
