My dog doesn't remember me

My father's friend gave him a little dog this April. It was just born 1 month that time. When I went back home on labor day holiday, I spent several days with the little dog and it liked me very much. However, when I went home again in this August, it seemed not remember me. In this National Day holiday, I spent 4 days at home total. The dog has grown up but didn't remember me anymore, just barked at me furiously every time when saw me.

I would blame it on their smelling instincts which may not be there when they are pups and as pups they will play with everyone. When you went the second time you were a stranger to this dog. You need to spend time with it.

I had a cat when my dog was a pup. They played together merrily. Then my cat disappeared for 3 years and one fine day made its appearance but my dog refused to accept it.

It is said that most dogs and cats couldn't get along well with each other in most of the time. I am not sure but I think 3 years might be too long.

it is normal and natural for your dog to have this behavior.For relationship will be faded as timegone by. it needs carings.without caring, you could hardly keep a good relation with friends for long time.time can change everything.however, if you spend some time to be together with it, you will gain what you want.

I see. I thought we did have happy time together and he could remember me. But it seemed I was wrong. It's like to get along with people, friends, love and even relationship with family memembers.

Oh, maybe because the dog was still young before. And maybe it still takes more time in order to get their trust.

Yeah, maybe it was too young to have memory that time. Also, we didn't get along with each other for long time.

I once read that cats have a limited memory. They rememeber things for about three months unless the action is repeated, or the people come back. This maybe the case with dogs as well.

It might be possible. I first saw it in early May and went home again in late August, had been more than three months.
