I'm used to straighten my hair alot as I like it all smooth and silky. the problem is that this thing damages my hair and I'm really interested in hair treatments. so do you use certain products that work for you? do you tend to use expensive products? do you have any home-made masks?

i'm not lucky having really smooth and silky hair, and every year someone comes to my house to treat my hair. it's a li'l expensive but i feel good about it. i wanted to try looking for alternatives too =) i think aloe vera can be used to thicken the hair but i don;t know if that will help making your hair smooth and silky. i heard about coconut or coconut oil... i just have not tried it yet.

I straighten my hair just about everyday but I also use a heat protectant spray on my hair before using my flat iron. I also have hair products that target damaged hair and repair it. Sometimes they can get quite pricy. I also use shampoo and conditioner that makes your hair smooth and silky as well. I don't really know of a treatment to use after your hair is already damaged. I'm sure you could get some kind of hair product for damaged hair. The one I use is called Anti-snap and I believe it's by Redken
