i just bought the new evanescence album today...it is great

i rarely buy cds anymore, but i had to get this one. i love evanescence and i have loved them since i was like 13 years old...that is 7 years!! but anyway they are awesome. i love amy lee and her style of singing and playing piano. this was really a great album. the only complaint i have is that there werent more piano ballads. there was really only one. but it is all good...anybody else snag up this album early? or plan to buy it tommorrow?

Amy Lee is an amazing singer and the band is awesome. I was really surprised to see that they got back together because I was under the impression that their breakup was permanent. I know that Amy Lee wanted to focus on her marriage and having a family and that there was strife within the group. Do you know if all of the original group members are still in the band?

no. if i'm not mistaken, amy is the only one who stayed in the band after all these years. technically this is not even evanescence, but some random back up musicians playing along to amy's singing lol. but i guess you have to be excited about the album if you love amy lee. but i do like the new sound. i think it is different, but still somehow classic evanescence (even though the only classic member is amy)

you're welcome. i don't get why they didn't promote this album more. i think it is big deal that they made a comeback after all these years...but i guess all the die hard fans (like myself) kept up with every move they made since the open door
