yeah, at least I think so.My mom teach me to be indepenent when I was a little girl. Today's world, women must have the ability to support themselves. The other side, it will be better if there is a man who is always on her side.

yes, i think it is a wonderful thing for women to be independent. In the past, a lot of women are not independent and rely on others, mostly husband to earn a living for them. A lot of times, when women in those days are abused, they can't divorce their husband as they have no other source of living funds. These days, women are more independent because we are taught by parent, typically mothers to be independent, if we aren't, it's very difficult to strive in this world!

Hi Passion, i don't find any problem with woman being independent. as long as she is doing it without hurting anybody and not putting herself in trouble--it's always good to see the fruits of your labor. if you work so hard and you can afford to buy stuff that you need and want go for it.

I'm a military wife, an if us women where not independent we wouldnt make it in this life. When our husbands deploy we have a job to do an that is working, kids, cleaning, errons, bills etc...we take care of the hosue hold when they are gone. But we do need our husband as well, we have to knwo and realize when they come back, we have to step back a little and let them contribute in the responsibilites we have held for so long alone on our shoulders. Being independent makes a women stronger, confident an hardworking. I believe if a women isnt independant she doesnt knwo herself! They have to knwo how to handel and do things on their own. You never know what curve balls life can throw at you.

Of course it's a good thing. You go into relationships as an individual with your independence and you should always be an individual. From the nature of your question, I gather you believe having a relationship means an end to your independence.
