Dan Brown just makes up stuff, his lack of research that he claims is accurate is so notorious, he has his own TV Tropes Page: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DanBrowned

I bring the quotation from that page here: Martin Savidge: When we talk about da Vinci and your book, how much is true and how much is fabricated in your storyline? Dan Brown: 99 percent of it is true. All of the architecture, the art, the secret rituals, the history, all of that is true, the Gnostic gospels. All of that is ... all that is fiction, of course, is that there's a Harvard symbologist named Robert Langdon, and all of his action is fictionalized. But the background is all true. I believe what Dan Brown said is true. All of the architecture, the art, the secret rituals, the history, all of that is true, the Gnostic gospels. From my opinion, this is quite objective. What makes it subjective and controversial is the way he interpreted those all and the way he told the story..

I don't know, maybe he's thinking like what if Jesus actually had a child with Mary Magdalene, and what if that made more descendants up until today. If you come to think about it, haven't we questioned ourselves if ever Jesus had girlfriend at some point in his life. The bible only stated when he was a child, adolescent then jumped to being an adult. What about the happenings in between his life, we don't know for sure.

I think it's just rumors within the religion fanatics circle. You know when you're so into a stuff, even the slightest artifact or matter would be a great deal to you and you tend to get excited about it. I have read the book a long time ago and I admit that that part also made me a little excited but more suspicious because if that were true, it should have been in the records. Why would they even hide that fact if it were true, right?

if she got married to someone in her time and got children then and they survived the known world of their time to our time then it is very possible she has great great grand kids living even today like the other jew who survived millenniums from the onslaught of racism..

Dan Brown`s stories are fiction. A novel is not real. A good novel can look as if it was real, but none of the characters really exist. Even when writers use historic characters and persons, they say things that are not necesarilly true about them. The Da Vinci Code is a thriller, it is fun, but there`s no reason to think that Mary Magdalene had any children (much less that it would be Dan Brown`s heroine).

Whether it's a fiction or a fact,I can only say that Dan Brown is such a good writer. Most of his books have facts in them and I learn a lot reading from his writings. He must be a very knowledgeable man.He combined fiction and reality and keeps everybody thinking.

I am very suspicious of these type of claims. I tinkh it is sensationalism and done for profit mostly. Still..if it were true I wouldn't much care one way or another...
