Do You hae trouble finding just the right take out restaurant?

Because I am in extreme pain with my back, I couldnt prepare supper last night, I could hardly move.
I decided to order out. We ordered pizza and poutine and chicken wings. We tried the pizza shop on the corner of our street, we never used them before.
First of all the pizza was like nothing I have ever eaten before, I like it my son didn't. The poutine was horrible, and the chicken wings were mediocre.
my son and I were talking about it, and although we don't like poutine from every restaurant we definitely like it from others. The same goes for pizza.
However, we discovered that there is only one restaurant that it called Buffalo Bills were we actually love the chicken wings they are a cut above everyone else.
Now that we are in agreement that that is the only place for chicken wings for us, we are never going to order chicken wings from any other place again.
Do you order food from everywhere and like it or are you like us and only order certain foods from a certain restaurant because in your opinion it is the best place in town?

oh yes and around here its Pizza HUt for wings and pizza. The kids like lots of chicken and grand daughter is stuck on Raing Cane CHicken I dont like it so go some wheres else for what I might want but if we all agree on CHicken its from Popyeys

I love Pizza Hut but they don't deliver. When I am at Target I get some of Pizza Hut food because they have a Pizza Hut in the Target store.

here we like pizza and wings from any other place we've tried except Pizza hut! no more pizza hut. 
their pizza has gotten to greasy and not enough topping at all. their wings are always to spicey and hot even if you specify you want very mild.

Our Pizza Hut is very good and we like it. I said we do not do take out, but we do like Hunt Brother's Pizza, which is often sold at gas station and convenience stores. They have lots of toppings and a good price. We will even stop on the road and find one for an inexpensive and tasty meal.

We do not order take out. Usually we do eat out when we are shopping. I have experienced the same thing though, of not being truly satisfied with certain restaurants. We are in agreement that the only Chinese place we will go to is near our Sam's Club. The two in our town are going down hill as far as flavor and quality go, so why spend your money. We have a preferred burger place and certain other types of restaurants. Hubby and I are pretty well in agreement on most, or he lets me have my pick, one or the other.

I order from certain take out places. FOr pizza we like Chicago Connection with deap crust. If we want something special and have the money for it we order from Flying Pie with their wheat crust a vegetable supreme with shrimp on it. If we are in the mood for ribs we order from the Smoke Inn who has the best in town and has been around for ever. And we have a certain shop that we order deli sandwichs from as well. I have lived here all my life and know the best places.

I have lived here all my life two but there are literally thousands of restaurants, and for take out you order from the area you live in and there are hundreds of restaurants in my area alone.
But you are like me you like your food from certain establishments.
I had never order from the corner restaurant before but never will again.

I think I should write a critique for the newspaper on some of these places. I feel that alot of people don't know how good they are. I like to use the mom and pop places and give them business.

I remember you telling me about poutine, but I don't remember what it is. No, I only order from Papa John's pizza... and I like their chicken wings and their cinnamon sticks made of pizza dough.. yummy... but now I am on WW so I won't be ordering out. No other place delivers here. I used to get Chinese food delivered, but they went out of business.

We order from everywhere, although there are certain days we order from certain places because of the specials running. For example there's an Asian Cafe up the street that does a great $5 lunch special on it's combos. So on those afternoon when we want take out, this is what we do.

Sadly my ordering in days are mostly over due to two factors. 1. I have Diabetes and 2. I am on a limited budget. Pizza, wings and poutine would drive my blood sugar and blood pressure up due to excessive amounts of salt and sugar (as pizza crust converts immediately to sugar in the body) I also have to watch my fat intake. So on days when I am not well enough to cook the meals are very basic. Hardboiled eggs, whole grain pasta with homemade pesto which I make in batches and store in the freezer, porridge and berries or stone soup and whole grain bread.
However,in the past my favourite take out restaurant was Swiss Chalet and more recently a Mexican restaurant for quesedillas. They make them with whole wheat tortillas,fresh green peppers and tomatoes, cheddar cheese with a little side order of sour cream and salsa. Hmmm good!

I lve the chicken wings from Swiss Chalet. I missed them terribly when I lives in the states for a year, although the ones the butcher at the store across the street made were pretty darn close.

We normally order from the same place. To many people in my house with different likes. On top of that, I have a picky eater. We normally just order 2 large pizzas and some wings. We have ordered from other places every once in awhile, but they wasnt as good. So we just stick with Papa Johns.

Well, I don't eat chicken wings... I don't know what poutine is and pizza is one of those things that really are a matter of taste.
I used to like Pizza Hut but they've gotten so greasy they are nasty.
I wish I could find a real New York/New Jersey pizza, but... well, I am in Texas. There used to be a place that was run by a family of transplants like ourselves, but they closed years ago - did do good pizza and subs.
I don't like deep dish pizza, too much bread for the goodies...

I don't like deep dish either.
we get new york style up here in some restaurants, but montreal pizza's are made with the cheese on top not underneath.

In my world...there are no questions..no queries about whom's "take out food" is the best....THERE IS NONE! So if I want Pizza, I make it (usually make 3 or 4 for the freezer at the same time.) Chicken wings, buy them in bulk, spice them the way you like...freezer package them! Poutine--don't eat fries nor does my son! It's another way of life, but it works for me! The funny thing is, it took me a while to get over the longing for "order in" food, especially missed Chinese...But after a while of NOT having that ability...I no longer crave it! Even when I go to visit my son, living in a Metro area..I don't wish "take out!" As a matter of fact, I get serious indigestion now, from any fast foods! Oh well!

i also have some problems in finding the items.. so i used to get the items i like every week so that i eat everything..
