I find different ways to handle and remove stress. But it really depends on what caused it. For the most part, if it frustrates me, I let steam blow. I don't hold it in any more because it can build up too much. This makes my outbursts far worse than they could have been. Other ways I deal with stress is by setting myself away from what's causing it. I walk around, read a book, take my dogs for a walk, etc. I do what I can to distract my mind from what's bothering me. I also write. For some reason writing relaxes me and puts me in a temporary feel good stage. But when I can't write, I tend to play a game, browse the web, draw, read a book, wrestle with my dogs, cuddle with the cats.. When all else fails, I may take a herbal relaxer, or bathe in relaxing bubbles. And I pray too. That one really helps, because when I don't have anyone else to talk to, I tend to take my problems to God, since I'm a believer. Still, I probably should learn to work on not exploding so easily. It's bothersome when people think it's them I'm frustrated with, and it's not (in most cases). I can't seem to control myself really. What about you though? You haven't mentioned how you relax or remove stress from your life. Care to share yours?

what a nice reply. i like your methods and as for me, I try to take deep breath, listen to melodies and watch nature. I also write poems and put out my feelings on paper.

Usually if I get frustrated I prefer to go out. I walk for some time. Why because if are walking on road we see many people and many things. So that out concentration will be diverted. An also I visit temple, watch movies , listen music. Just a alone for a walk or beach or park.

Yes, a templ is a good idea and a walk also. I mostly listen to melodies for relief.

When a person has a stressful job walking or cycling there and back can be more relaxing than going by car. A busy person should keep some time free to remove stress by having a quick shower or a long bath. Half an hour in a gym per weekday could make a person happier and more fit. It is important to make the most of any vacation time like by going on a trip overseas. I recommend making a travel wish list for the future. I think relaxing places are tropical islands, blue lakes and green mountains. If a person has 20 days vacation a year that could be a two week vacation on a tropical island, a week on lakes and mountains trip and a weekend away visiting friends or family. Having a pet dog can be superb. The person can go out for walks with the dog.

My days at my work place are really very long some times, and by the time I get back home, it would be close to 9 pm some times, so exhausted and tired. Yesm those days are really very stressful. My favorite way of relaxing and getting relived of the stresses is to stretch out on the couch and listen to my favorite classical music CDs, Chopin, Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, Johan Strauss, and more. I also practise mindfulness meditation. That is very helpful too.

Hai friend I think meditation is the only solution we have to remove stress and get relaxation in our hectic life. I can also say that we will be so relaxed on seeing smiles on small child's face who like children most....

Yes ur right my friend. Meditation is the perfect solution to remove stress and relaxation in life. Normally people who are mediatating in the morning feels free to work through out the day without pressure. As mediatation always makes people mind peaceful and relax.

But to remove stress and to feel relax u want to choose breathing exercises in mediatation. Normally when we do mediation when we are tensed we cant organise our mind in control but when we do breath exercise in mediatation then u can concentrate in only mediatation. I recommend pranayama meditation. Its a good healthy breath mediatation.
