Who is the best free kick goal specialist now?

I observed many goals had occurred from the death ball and free kick is one of the dangerous position for goal keeper.We have seen Gerrard goal from free-kick when they almost beat Man United yesterday. And both Arsenal and Sunderland have also scored from this spot, van persie goal is looks as wonderful as Gerrard..As we know, david beckham, Maradona, Del Piero are among the best free kick specialist and have become a legend..But now, we have seen many players also really excellent when it comes to take this free-kick..So who do you think the best free-kick goal scorer nowadays?

@omchesunche: I would say it is CR. No doubt he is one of the best free-kick takers of all time. He could be any goalkeeper at any angle, on top of the wall or under it (I have seen in a video compilation showing him beating the goalkeeper by placing his free kick under the wall). He is just the best nowadays.
Other contenders would be Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, van der Vaart, the list continues. But still CR holds the crown!

I think that Juninho from his period at Lyon was better than Ronaldo, but I also think that CR is a great free kick taker, maybe the best at the moment. Other great free kick takers which you haven't mentioned can be Arjen Robben, Vedad Ibisevic from Hoffenheim or Oscar Cardozo from Benfica. There are a lot of them, and it is difficult to make an exhaustive list.

You are right,CR7 and sneijder are one of the best free kick taker nowadays.Even one of the best goal from CR7 is from free-kick.I am not sure about van der vaart maybe I will source any of his free kick goal from youtube. Really appreciate your comments my friend.

In my opinion Christiano Ronaldo is brilliant free kick specialist now.. May be Sneijder,Steven Gerrard,Arteta,Xavi,Pirlo etc..

I cannot forget Juninho, who was the best free kick taker for years. Whenever Lyon had a free kick in the opponent's half, it was danger, he had a great technique to hit the ball.
But now I think that Cristiano Ronaldo has learned his technique and he can score lots of goals from free kicks. And I am saying this as a person who doesn't like Ronaldo at all, but I have to admit that he has many footballing qualities and the way he shots from free kicks is amazing, he has the so called "tomahawk" shot.
