Homeless and drunk begging for way too much money!

I was on my way to Best Buy yesterday, when this very drunk guy said to me "I'm short $50 can you help me?" I could not believe what I just heard! I thought about saying "I'm short $1 million can you help me?" I did not even respond! The guy is being way to greedy, homeless or not! Someone should call the cops on him for being way too aggressive and greedy! I would never give anyone who says anything like that any money. He was very intoxicated and most likely wanted money for drugs to get high. Would you give someone who says they are short a very high amount of money, would you walk away or alert near by cops about the guy being drunk, aggressive and greedy?

i sneek u shood .. itsss au gov meant to ...all thso otter ones ..wanta dink u If you did not understand that I do not blame you because it was not meant to make sense. The fact that he was very intoxicated says it all. I never listen in seriousness to intoxicated people. I have said merry Christmas in July to drunks and they say it back and we laugh. Why take what he says serious. You can however take his actions serious and he should not be bothering anyone. Yes, he might need help but before anyone can seriously help him, he needs to sober up. On another note, inflation has hit everyone, everywhere. Maybe the best thing for those without is a coffee if needed, or even better something to eat and company with a listening ear.

This guy was just being factitious and this was his way of trying to get you to feel sorry for him and give him a little change. I give them the beggars sometime when I see that they are in need. But that guy you described, I would not give him money because he's already at his limit. My city has and ordinance against aggressive panhandling and if a citizen calls the cops this beggar would have gotten a ticket.

I was approached once by some crazy guy and he literally chased me and my friend. He wasn't asking for money or anything but he suddenly grabbed my arm and mumbled words which we can't understand. I'll never forget that scene _

Had I met this person I would have went to the nearest fast food place and bought him a sandwich, fries and drink. Then returned and give him the food. As he ate I would have told him he needs to focus on the main things in life like food and a place to live. I would have then stuffed a five dollar bill in his pocket and told him to use it wisely.

My conscience won't allow me to walk away, such a person desperately needs help. Cop's won't save the situation either.I think the best thing to do is to spare sometime and instil some sense to him.Maybe a simple conversation can change that persons life completely.
