"In Time": Do you think of your life as money?

The movie "In Time" starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried is coming out next weekend. The premise is that people stop aging at age 25 (yay, eternal youth!), but they must work to buy more time and stay alive. Time is now currency in order to prevent overpopulation, since people can technically live forever. Justin Timberlake's character unexpectedly gets a huge amount of time and must run from a corrupt police force. Obviously we don't have the technology to do this kind of stuff now, but don't you think that your time is money? After all, you spend your time, or your life, working to make money so you can afford to buy and do other things. Basically you're paying for goods or experiences with your life. Yeah, I heard of this movie too- their story is interesting.. it reminded me of the series Sherrilyn Kenyon wrote, where these group of people were cursed by Apollo to live only at the age of 25 too- and to continue living, they should drink human blood. Amanada is quite a great actress, I don't see her match well with JT though, well, we'll see..

Kenyon's series sounds like an interesting take on the vampire story! I do agree that Amanda Seyfried is an interesting choice to play opposite JT, but we shall see! Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.

Very true - I don't think I realized how true the phrase 'time is money' was until I started working @_@ JT does seem to have improved his acting chops. I hope I can see this movie in theaters; it looks like a lot of fun!
