What are the good qualities of a real friend?

Well for me a good friend must stay with you even in times of troubles or distress. because most people tend to be friend with you when they just need you. Friend with benefits, as they said. So most of the time I don't get close with friends, I mean maintain a friendly relationship, no more no less.

I think the qualities of an online friend are the same as an offline friend. Friends are supportive of each other. They might not be able to lend a helping hand, but they can offer moral support, so to speak.
