Earlier I had posted 2 discussions on this http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2584734.aspx?p=0 http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2588646.aspx?p=0 We received a call from PayPal staff, she gave some instructions and I was able to log in to my account. It says the PAN number I gave is wrong, they found after verification. So I rechecked the number, it is the one I have, as per records of Income tax department, and I had submitted , anyway I put that number again , it says ‘this is the number you have submitted, please submit the valid one’. Well one can’t have 2 PAN numbers, how can I put new number there? I have contacted PayPal via email, hope they help. Please suggest what to do? And please share your views and comments on this. Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . 19/10/2011

Hello Papa! I am completely helpless with the Indian RBI rules and PayPal. Outside of awaiting for PayPal to finally get around to re-confirming I am not sure what to advise. I am so sorry all of the RBI rules have made things so difficult for you and all the Indian PayPal account holders. I feel extra sad for those who are aware of what to do and can never get this resolved. I am sure there are ways to get it resolved but with so many new online users from India there will be so many disappointed. My prayers Papa and hope this all can resolved very soon. As US members we have a great deal of convenience. It is sad that the rules are much more difficult for you. I am not sure if you are aware that life8118 left myLot and she is the one I usually send all members to get resolution with Indian PayPal. I will miss her dearly as she left us abruptly with no explanation. Good luck Papa and hope to hear soon that Paypal has been resolved for you.

I was also thinking of Vidhya while I responded as I know he too was also experiencing this issue as well. Maybe you two can compare with one another and hopefully it can be resolved soon. Vidhya I am really sorry to hear of the headaches you have been facing. Can you send our Admin a message and ask why the funds have not been returned??

Thank you Papa for the BR! I am hoping the issue can be resolved soon. Maybe the final notification is a standard method they use for any unresolved issues. But continue to persist so that the matter can be cleared.

Oh, my goodness. I have been thinking all the while that paypal is the most trustworthy account that we can have to secure our online payments. If problems of this type can also be had in paypal, i just don't know anymore as to where to turn to.

I think it's mostly our Indian friends who are having lots of problems with Paypal since there had been many discussions I read here at Mylot about paypal issues from Indian users.

When you talked to them on the phone did you not ask them about this PIN number? I would talk to someone on the phone and get to the bottom of this. The only problem I have ever had with Paypal is something that isn't even their fault. Occasionally I get a scam telling me my Paypal account has been compromised and I need to give them certain info. I contact Paypal immediately. I hope you get this straightened out. I would talk to them on the phone though so you can get to the bottom of this.

Sounds like it is like a social security number that we have here in the US.
