I treat my pets like my children so I don't feel disgusted when removing their dirt.My mom told me that she did not feel disgusted when cleaning my poop when I was a baby because she loves me.I think I am now feeling the same to my Falooneet and her chicks.I don't feel disgusted when cleaning their house and removing poop.Good thing their poop don't smell bad.Maybe that is because they only eat corn and bread.I don't really love doing it,but I don't hate it either.I love my chickens...

It is every pet owner's responsibility. My pets are two cats and they have two litterboxes in the bathroom. The litterboxes are just plastic trays because during the time they were using litterboxes with sand, they got worms. Anyway, they urinate and poo on the trays and we lift the trays, hold them over the toilet, and flush the excrement away with water. The trays are rinsed with soapy water and put back on the floor. Pretty easy, since the cats were trained not to pee or poop in the wrong places. However, they are cats, and they vomit. The vomit is a different thing. They eat dry catfood, fresh fish, or wet cat food mixed with rise. When one of them vomits. the smell can make one gag. Also, they can't really control where they'll vomit because it happens so quickly. So cleaning up the vomit is a task I particularly hate, so good thing that's not something they do regularly.

Chickens are bird so they cannot be easily taught about pooing in just a certain place. But cleaning my chickens's poop is not really that disgusting because she is a midget so her poop is just very small and has no smell.

@patners I have seen on TV some pets who are capable of using the toilet, and their owners are commendable for training them. As for my pets, when they were kitties they were too small to jump up the toilet so they were trained to use litterboxes. Now they can climb up the toilet but since they're already accustomed to the litterboxes it will be hard to change the habit.

I would probably have no problem cleaning animal poop like that. I even touch our Guinea Pig's poop and not feel disgusted because I know they eat nothing but the pellets we give them and some fruits and veggies. It's the cat's and dog's poop that I just couldn't take. It's better now that we moved to our new place where they have the entire lawn as their comfort room. They can dig and cover it up later. A great animal instinct. Back in the city, they were forced to poo anywhere, even on our couch one time. They just couldn't understand the logic of the poop tray we placed for them.

Dogs eat almost anything that can be eaten so their poop smells bad.Cats are carnivore. They eat meat so their poop has bad smell. The dirt of guinea pig is easier to clean because it smells less bad.

Oh sometimes it does. There are really just times that my gut isn't that strong. I have a lab and the poop is huge. Haha. When the dogfood is good then it doesn't smell and the poop isn't wet. But sometimes when it is wet it really get smelly and I have to cover my nose for that. Chickens are okay. But I am really not at all disgusted most of the times. Just sometimes.

Yeah. The poop of dog smells bad when wet.It becomes smelly when they eat any other things like meat, vegetables, etc.I have no problem with my chicken because she only eats corn and bread so her poop doesn't smell bad.

Well, at first yes. But eventually I got used to is so I don't feel disgusted anymore when I clean my cat's litter box. It's pretty much the same when you were first learning how to wash yourself after taking a poop.

It doesn't bother me most the time to clean up after my dogs. Every so often it smells extra bad and it is not fun lol. Well, it's never fun I guess, but I don't mind it. Cleaning up after your pet is part of pet ownership. If you aren't willing to clean up after your pet then you shouldn't have a pet. I hate people that take their dogs for walks and just let them poop wherever and don't clean it up.

Most of the times no but sometimes it's something they eat the smell is stronger, so then I can feel and be a little...you know. But I love them, I know it's normal hahaha. But sometimes...specially throwing up, it's very hard for me to see that.

Before I do but just a little when I'm just starting to take care of my dog even though it doesn't smell too bad maybe it's just because the fact that it's a poop but as time goes by I get used to it. And all dog owners shouldn't be disgusted with because that's part of having dog if you can't stand a dog's poop then don't own a dog.

I love my Maltese so much,i dont mind the poop, the urine. When it comes to the occasional vomit, i find it very hard to deal with. Ughhhhh. For some reason, this turns my stomach and lasts all day.

Oh,I love my dog,and will be happy to her clean health, including her debris. But the more I would take her out to go to the toilet,of course, will she waste away.
