Have anyone Rate your Friend's Discussion?

Hi, I think we cannot see who have given "=" or "-" to the discussions we are doing. Does people really rate others or they just add replies to the posts and move on? I made one positive feedback to one of my friends. Have anyone rated like that because I heard that only these feedback are going to determine which star a person is going to get.

Of course we all do, it is a common sense that you have to rate the users comment if you find her/his answer very useful. Sometimes when I am just reading and I find that the answer was very clever, I rate it even-though I do not responds on that discussion because I already find the good answer to the discussion. You can also mark whose the best response in the discussion you've started, it is your right to do that and don't if you are not satisfied with the response.

Hi airkulet, I too had the same habit as you do like rating the best answer for the discussion instead of rating everyone who participates in my discussion. But is there any way to see who has rated our discussions like that?

You will receive a MyLot notification when you are given "best response". The other way to judge your progress is by the color and number on your star. You can go as high as a 10, blue star. If you hover your cursor over your star you can see your percentage as well.

@ anitha no you can't see it because you will tend to rate back at him/her or you will considered a user here in mylot which will lead to a not so healthy discussion. And probably you will discriminate also those who will give you a negative rate. Mylot design it this way so that you will rate it according to the best answer that you really like. @ garden thanks about the info I never knew that we can see our percentage of ratings here!

I usually leave it null (I don't rate). I only use it if the user have contributed greatly, whether positively or negatively.

You are absolutely right, those who have done some contribution to others can be rated well other than rating everyone. There comes the perfect rating for the perfect discussion.

Yes. Definitely the enjoyable day for me today. I felt like that I am holding a crown next to me. I too respond well for my friend's discussions. But the thing is I don' have a habit to check mail which tells that my friend started new discussions.

It is good to hear anusha that you have rated for your discussions. But I never know that discussions should be rated. Only after I got a star I cam to know all about these concepts in mylot.

I agree with you my friend anusha you are right and I always rated on my responder response not necessary they are in my friend list or not. If they respond on my discussion means they are my friends and if I respond on others discussion means they are also my friend.

Very true, when they find time to visit your discussion and make an effort to participate, it is a reward for them to rate the said user.

actually we all and should and must rate others.because its the only way to gain better stars.if you rate somebody,in turn you will get rated by other members too.it works that way.when you grow old here, you will get a set of friends who participate in your discussions regularly and vice verse as you participate in their discussions regularly.so if you are in a practice to rate them more positive, they will also put on their efforts to rate you positive and in turn your stars would get high.so wherever you see these buttons, keep pressing and rate the person in a manner that you would like to be rated by others.

Not necessary that we should rate each and every discussion isn't it? Whatever feels interesting we can rate it as positive. That too we don't have any option to know who rated us. I will never forget to vote my friend's discussion.

its not just about rating a discussion, but also you can rate each and every response. and if you are participating in any of the discussion, that means you liked something good about it so why not rate it. you should use these positive buttons as much as you can and at every possible place.but i don't say that you keep on rating others blindly. if you feel somebody's responses as good or fair enough about the discussion, then you must and you should rate it. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx#1 follow the link

Now that you have reached 100 posts you may rate. I rate any time I am given a chance. It does determine the color of our star, and also your earnings. We do not know who rates us + or -.

If we son't know how much rating we are getting daily how can we calculate our progress. we can also decide how valuable our answer is to others by seeing the Ratings. isn't it?

I usually don't rate my friends discussions, mainly because I don't find any of them to be interesting.
