For two days, I have been listening to my favorite music in the 70's. Some are slow rock, R & B, inspirational and many more. As I was listening to one that is about friendship sang by The Osmonds, I can't help but recall my friends when I was still in college. The songs was the theme song of the group. Then another song sung by Chicago where Peter Cetera was still the lead vocalist, I remember the vaudeville we had in high school. As I try to click and listen to the songs, I happily reminisced the good memories of my high school and college life. I considered these songs to be my all time favorites because it became part of my growing up years with friends. Whenever there was a new song released, we really made sure that we get a copy of the lyrics and memorize it. It was so much fun that it became part of our daily life. Our life , in a song. Whether they are sad or joyful, inspirational or motivational, they speak of the mood of the artist and listener can resonate with it. I have even concluded that I was born during the time of the 'best music'ever made by great artists because until now these songs are being played on the air in the different music station especially during weekends. Listening to it over the weekend made me feel young again.:-)

Hi janevi! I agree with you that music adds life, it is a part of our lives. I am fond of listening to music whenever I am doing tasks at home. I love the 70s and 80s music. My father loves to listen to records. We have this big stereo, I call it big because it is like a cabinet and it plays vinyl record. The music my father often listen to are the songs from Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Nat King Cole, ABBA, Nora Aunor, Claire de la Fuente and many more that I forgot. Some of the vinyl records are still here although we don't have the stereo with turn table anymore. They're obsolete but the music in the 70s are classic and when I listen to them, I remembered my father humming softly. I think I am my father's daughter when it comes to music. I feel better and I feel good whenever I listen to music and sometimes I love singing as well. It helps me express my feelings. I love the 80s music because this is the time when I started to appreciate music. This is also the time of my high school days. When I have my first crush. Like you, I am fond of getting the lyrics of my favorite songs and share them with my friends. I really take time to copy the lyrics and give it to them. Songs are really a part of my life and when I listen to them I remembered certain memories. It help me reminisce the time when I first had my crush in high school, the time when I fell in love, when I got married, when I first held my baby in my arms. The songs vividly brought back memories, mostly fond memories of every segment of my life. And until now, music is still continuously making an imprint in my life. Thanks for reading and for starting this great discussion!

Whatever our experiences are, there are really songs that can speak of our own sentiments, joys and sorrows. It is a testimony that our life is like an orchestra with different musical instruments being played , different sounds produced, different sizes different classes. Like the orchestra, no matter how different they are they still produce a sound in harmony. So let's maintain the orchestra in us to be in harmony all the time by regularly tuning it into what note to play in whatever circumstance we face each day and continue to play the sweetest songs ever.

I love listening to music from when I was a girl. I used to have all the Osmonds records and a million and one posters of them on my bedroom wall. I was in love with Donny the most.

I can just imagine your reaction when you hear the song by the Osmonds especially if Donny is the center stage:-) I love their music. It never fails to perk me up when I hear my favorite music. When I am alone, I take out my cds and play them. Sometimes, when I'm online, I watch the music video in the youtube.

Yes, it's true that somehow music speaks for our life. There are moments of our life that really suits the lyrics of a song. Like you, i am also fond of listening to the early music genres like Chicago, Survivor, Toto and other famous music legends. Their music is still the best for me. And i will never get tired of listening to their songs today and beyond. :-)
