The Purpose of Fish In The Aquarium

What is the purpose of fish in the aquarium? I have seen owners who have pets like fish, but I do not know what there purpose is. I know dog can help guard the owner and cat helps chase the mouse, but fish -- well -- they just stay inside the aquarium with water on it and swimming all around inside the aquarium. Staring at them for how many hours just in the aquarium makes me fall asleep as I could not touch him or anything that I want to do with the fish. Is a pet fish just a display so that the house become colorful or there is a meaning on it if having a pet fish inside the house?

Having fish is supposed to add relaxation or calmness to a setting. They can even add color and design. I have had fish and I loved it, especially at night when I needed to sleep. They can't be cuddled or pet, but they are fun to watch and can provide a relief to stress. They are also great beginner pets for children to learn how to care for pets.

Oh yes. I agree with you. I saw some of the aquarium at the other places and some on television and on movie that they have this wonderful color and design. It is like a work of art, only that there are fish inside the aquarium and needs to maintain cleanliness so as the fish would be always be healthy.

I do agree with you my friend. But if we have small kids in our houses they do enjoy with them playing. Some people keep aquariums because of there kids enjoyment also..

Maybe some believes that fishes brings luck to the house and thus having a pet fish will make you lucky . Others have pet fishes that serves as way to relax after they are from work. Especially when you feed this fishes it makes you happy to see them how eager they are to rush and eat these pellets. But having these pet fishes also impose great responsibility since you are to monitors and clean their aquariums regularly so as to have this fishes healthy.

Ahh. Okay. I just remember a friend who bought a fish. I asked her "What does fish benefit to you?", She just said, "I like fish" without any reason at all and when she put the fish inside the aquarium, I saw it swam all over it and I watch it, and while thinking about what does fish benefit to a human, I fell asleep... wa ha ha Well, maybe for those people like them, fishes serve as a lucky charm.. he he

We have different reasons why why keep aquarium fish at home. For Chinese it gives luck and absorb negative elements. For me im after of it's health benefits of Aquarium Fish. Study shows that Seniors who were provided with an aquarium filled with fish had significant blood pressure reduction. Watching fish has been shown to calm children who suffer from hyperactivity disorder. Dental patients who were subjected to hypnosis vs. an aquarium experienced the same or greater benefit from the aquarium. Other studies have shown that dental patients required less pain medication after having watched fish in the office. It's little wonder that physician offices, dental clinics, and even waiting rooms for counselors have traditionally kept an aquarium in the waiting room. Seniors who have Alzheimer’s experience a variety of health benefits from watching an aquarium. Alzheimer patients ate more, and required fewer supplements after an aquarium was placed in the dining room. They also exhibited less physically aggressive behaviors.
