I have this classmate of mine in high school named Ben. We are not so close to each other. He is a rich and talented young man. After a year or two, he is now at college. At first, he is schooling in one of the most prestigious schools here in our city. But, after few weeks, he stopped schooling for the reason that he now become lazy in school and is always drunk everyday. I felt sorry for his parents. Ben wasted the opportunity that his parents gave to him. Also, there are lots of kids who wants to go to school but cannot afford the tuition fee. My dear friends and fellow MyLotters, what can you say about it? Why are there some people like this?

The why parent is very easy to understand your out on your own your parents can't tell you what you can and can't do only yourself can to do. All college students drink at one time or another its about knowing when to stop. People get stressed out and they do what they can to make that stress go away and going out partying with friends and getting drunk helps. Its not the fact he wasted something people go to school and quite all of the time. School isn't always easy for everyone and you don't need to go to college to make it far in life. Its what you do with yourself that gets you place not how smart you are. Yes school isn't cheap these days that is why a parent should have there child help pay for it. I paid half of my schooling and my parents paid the other half so when I quite it wasn't a big deal because I paid for most all of it.

I'd be the last one to be able to comment on this question. I, too, am one of "such" people. I had every opportunity to study. Not once, but repeatedly. I wasted every single one. So, today I'm a High School drop-out. No formal education; no job; no money; no prospects. Why are we like this? Who can say? Everyone will have a theory. All the theories will be from those who've never been in this position. I have no theory. Sorry. Karim
