i am not overweight but i cant gain too much weight also. i have a spine condition called "scoliosis" and when i gain weight my back hurts and makes me sick. since i have gained weight over the past few months, i have suffered from the back pains that i just ignore. now, i am drinking slimming coffee as a means of losing weight coz i really cant stop eating! with this coffee it supresses my appetite and controls the way i eat. however, i dont think this will do me good coz i might get dependent to it. any suggestions on how to lose weight? badly needed. thanks!

Some wise guy told me to drink lots of water but when I'd do it, it'd wash down my stomach and I'd end up feeling even hungrier. Try searching for low cal foods. Like try nuts or snacks. They have omega 3 (Good fats) that helps I guess.

I tried drinking slimming coffee and I did lose 5lbs in 2 weeks. But when I stopped, I gained more than I lost. Now, I am stuck with more excess weight than before. I guess the best thing to do is do cardio for atleast 20-30 minutes 3-5 times a week. but since you have scoliosis, i think you are not allowed to do strenuous exercise so my suggestion is that you do brisk walking for 20-30minutes 3-5 times a day. and then you try to control your food intake. You can also do weights but the lighter ones.

If you don't actually want to lose weight, then maybe you should think a little bit more about making small changes to your lifestyle in general which would help for you to maintain your weight rather than anything else. I have lost just over 5 stone in the past 12 months, and have learned that losing weight is possible if you set yourself a certain amount of calories each day to consume, and then build everything into it that you want to eat. I have done this, and I know that I will be able to lose the weight that I need to now.

I was told that if you follow the food guide and do some exercise then you can lose weight. And then keep it up you can stay at a healthy weight. I think it all depends on who you are. I have not had much sucess because I am an emotional eater. So when I get depressed I eat junk and therefore do not lose weight. Good luck I hope you can do this.

Eating fruits and veggies will help you in your diet regimen. Fiber-rich foods will help suppress your hunger.

I wouldn't suggest you to take coffee to lose weight. The caffeine in coffee is not good for your health. I would advice you to watch your weight by trying to eat right. Try to include more vegetables, less carbohydrates in your diet. Include complex carbohydrates more and avoid fine carbohydrates. Eat white meat and if you go for red meat, remove all visible fats. You can also check out with a trainer what type of exercises can be better considering your condition.

The best way to lose weight is to eat the things you normally eat, only moderate your portions. Use a smaller plate when you fix your meal and then you're not as tempted to fill it up with tons of food like you would with a larger plate. Also, cardio exercise is good for losing weight in your lower belly area. Try to reduce the amount of carbs because that's what goes straight to your lower stomach. You don't have to completely stop eating what you love, just eat a little bit of it and try to add a few new healthier items.

I don't suggest a 'diet', but, try to eat healthier, it may not be easy at first, but at least you don't starve yourself. Minimize what you recognize as 'unhealthy', and increase the "food that don't taste as good but could be better" or rather, the healthy food. I also suggest exercise. It doesn't have to be physically constraining where the next day you are in pain. Just ensure yourself that you body is moving a minimum of 60 minutes per day. Whether it would be walking, or cooking in the kitchen. Make sure you are always moving. A good way is walking back and forth while watching television, even if it is just 5 steps forward and back. So in short, eat healthier, and always be active! Good luck!

Drinking plenty of water supresses appetite too, especially if you feel hunger but you are just thirsty. You can try eating fruits as snacks, they are sweet but low in calories. Also, eating an apple before your meal helps to feel full earlier. If you avoid eating at the computer or while watching tv, you can avoid overeating too, because when you do something while eating you don't notice if you eat too much.
