What are the positives to be a hacker?

Many people assume, or at leat think hackers are bad and evil nature. But in my opinion, everything has its good side. Included in the case of hackers.
In your opinion, what is the good side of the computer hacking skills, and what a positive side to be a hacker?

I think that one major positives of being a hacker is to work for major companies and or the Government. That way they can identify any defect in cyberspace as well as identifying illegal hackers, thus protecting the company and the consumer.

Hacker means you're well on computer. They're not just well but really experts. People will always need someone who smart in IT field and they are high prices paid worker. That's the good thing for you to be a hacker. The bad thing is your action fatally harm the minds of computer where nearly 95 percent the job get done by computer. You could imagine how big the loss if the computer suddenly shutting down or car makers computer shutting down. You will then be arrested and lock up in jail.
