Cold or hot...which do you prefer?

With the winter coming soon, or in some places already there, I wanted to pose the question do you prefer the cold or hot? I hate both. Being from Texas, we get into the triple digits each year. Our winters are never really horrible, compared to up north, but for here it gets cold. During the summer, you can never take enough clothes off, unless you plan to run around in the buff, to get cool. With that in mind, I'd have to say I'd have to prefer the cold. I can always put more and more clothes on when I'm cold to help me get back warm. My problem is, and has always been, that once my feet get cold I stay cold. I've learned that if Im at home and this happens I can go run some warm water in the tub, put my feet in there and get them warm. Then get out and put socks on and I'm fine. So what about you? Which do you pefer and why?

I hate hot weather and it does get hot here in Australia in the summer so I much prefer it on the cold side and it is just a matter of putting more clothes on and so long as I have an electric blanket.

I have an electric blanket too thank goodness! Last year I bought some "sheet warmers" ( I cant think of their actual name). It's kind of like an electric blanket but it goes under your sheets on your matress and you can turn it on and it gets your sheets all nice and warm. My husband loves the cold and can't stand for the bed to be warm, so I made sure I got one where I could just turn my side on :D

I did my medical training in the Army at Ft. Sam Houston,Texas. Got there in September. Man did the weather run hot and cold off and on. Then in 2000 when my husband retired from the Air Force, he took a civilian contract at Randolph AFB near San Antonio. We showed up in August. We got to stay in some Suites at a local hotel til we found an Apartment. He got out to go check us in and there was a grocery store right next to this hotel. I was looking at the sign for it and they had a temp on the board and it said 110! I about s**t. When he got back to the car I asked him if he had brought me to HELL! I was NEVER so glad to leave Texas. Arrived in Florida and loved it in the Tampa area it never seemed to get really cold. Then my hubby got a burr up him to move to the top of the state and we get down in the 30's. Could kill him for taking me from Tampa area. Its sometimes 15 to 20 degrees different. all I can say is thank god we have a king bed cause both my cats come flying on my heating blanket!!! Cold weather is very hard on me as I have osteoarthritis, spinal desinegration and Fibromyalgia. So extreme heat or cold triggers pain for my body.

Yea, its nothing for us Texans to see triple digits each year. We just had a "cold" front come through. Its in the 40-50 at night and warms up to the 70s during the day LOL. I wouldn't call that to much of a cold front. I hate the roller coaster weather. I'd be happy if it would just stay cold... or stay warm. BUT not hot LOL

I like to be warm but cannot stand extreme heat, have never sunbathed and prefer the shade, however like you if my extremities get cold I am cold so I have big fluffy socks and slippers and snuggle blankets for when it is cold. I find it quite invigorating being all wrapped up in lots of layers on the beach walking the dog so I guess my answer is cold :)

I like warm weather, and I prefer warm weather over cold weather. However, I don't like it when it's really, really hot. I like warm, but not too warm or hot. I really don't like cold weather at all.

I feel you. I'd prefer it to be spring time year around because its not to hot and not to cold. It's just right.
