Women read too much into everything

I work in an office of all women and it can be difficult sometimes because women can be moody and over analytical. I'd hear people say this all the time and didnt like or agree with it until I was placed in the situation myself. Working with mostly men or a mixture of both genders was definitely easier. Men seem to be a little more straightforward and take things at face value but women seem to read something into every little statement that is made. We even analyze every expression or gesture, nothing is overlooked. Then we talk about it behind each others back and hold grudges. I could be wrong. I could be projecting. Or I could just be reading more into it.

Have all science about body language, so yes we (women) interpret everything, unfortunately every woman "speak" her own language :) .

haha Women are very analytical persons, huh! i think that is right. or we women tend to put meaning into everything we see. we see a color and if we see red, then we'd think wow the person is in love - so we associate the color with a meaning. that is probably how most women are. even in simple gestures of a boy to a girl who meant nothing to the former but an act of kindness and it would then be considered as something romantic by the girl... Heheh =) i like your topic. very interesting and true, i guess. Most women can be told that we think too much, that is why we think of things beyond their meaning because after we think of them, we analyze them into something that could be totally different from what they want it to be.

Chiyosan, you described exactly what I was talking about. We really do this which makes it difficult working in a small office filled with only women who are all doing this. I or another co-worker might make what we think is a harmless comment but another co-worker may read more into it and become upset or think we are upset and then run and talk or complain about it to another co-worker.

You're not wrong because i also happen to be working in a workplace where the majority of worker are women. Everyday is full of intrigues and issues. Just make the best of it, you are a women and you should know how it is to be a woman, play your cool and be a true-blooded "WOMAN"

Thank you so much for the advice. I really appreciate it. I'm proud to be a woman because our positive traits really outweigh the bad. I'm trying to hang in there at my job although I am looking for another. It's difficult dealing with the pettiness from co-workers when you get paid pennies to do a stressful job.
