I have a Ebay and Amazon account and put my real information, if there are scammers like I saw in a humor blog: The guy bought a ps3 from Ebay and received a stone, how do they get away with this? Why don't Ebay get these b*stards to the police or something? Isn't it a crime like everything else? And how do they get away if they have to put information there? I put my real information and I don't see how we can make up information, don't they check or something? I mean Ebay and Amazon should be a very serious site right? How do they get away with this?

Hi katie: My experience as a buyer is very positive. I don't understand how some scammers can get away with it. Probably because people don't talk and file a dispute against them. I once received a fake DVD copy of a film so I filed a dispute and they give my money back but this was just a case in more than two years. There are a few scammers but in general people who buy things on ebay really want to do business and they want to have a good reputation on the site. ALVARO

That's great to know! I think it's just normal to do something about it when you are scammed, congratulations but can't believe people just don't do nothing. How will ebay know then about the scammers right? Thank you! It's good to know it isn't that bad

I also buy stuff from e-bay and i think they have got a protection policy in place to protect buyers from any scam. Should have filed a dispute with e-bay.

i think it has to do with where are the sites located law wise and where the scammers are located law wise. since a lot goes on in other countries to scam us we cant seem to get any justice. i think amazon and ebay is just lazy too or wants to shove it aside

That's right, thank you very much. But again this guy received a stone so here goes another qustion, do you open your box in the hands of the mail guy? Cause if you don't would be sort of the same. I'm surprised on how many scams there are outhere, I never bought like this yet but I really wanted to. I only buy from online stores until now, and very few times. Just where I live there are no Vegan stuff so I buy online. I live in a hole, it's like they stopped in time here.
