hello fellow pinoys. i would like to ask this because i want to know how you find davao city. do you think it is a nice place?

i have been to davao city several times. Everytime I visit there are new things, improvements. It a good place to stay because it is clean and peaceful. I love to go kack's Ridge, Malagos, paradise Island, Eden, Tribu Mindanawan, crocodile farm, butterfly sanctuary, etc. There are lots of places in Davao that I have gone to and they are all beautiful. I also like the People's Park especially at night.

yes champoy it's jack's ridge. It was just a typographical error. I wanted to correct to correct when i saw it, but I already hit the submit button .
I will be going there again this December. By the way, congratulations too. Davao city is the only city in the Philippines that was included in the top 100 progressive cities in the world and Davao is the 87th place. i just read it from www.sunstar.com.ph

Yes! I was surprised that Davao made it to the top 100. I was expecting of Cebu and Makati. I know those are also progressive cities in our country. It made me proud of being a Davaoeño. This is a great achievement not only for Davao but for the entire Philippines. I hope more cities will be listed too in the next survey. Happy mylotting!

Haven't been but I would like to visit Davao, Cebu & Baguio. I think they are one of the most beautiful province in the country. What Durian taste like?

Everytime I went to department store, fruits & veggie section, I smell something strong and I'm not sure if that is Durian and I see Durian there, I can say that it only has a strong smell. If given a chance I would like to taste it, I love eating fruits.
Base on what I've read in another comment, I think Davao is a peaceful and beautiful place. Hope I can get there even in my dreams.

You better taste it. If you wouldn't like it, try the durian candy. It's also delicious. Durian has a strong smell. Yes Davao is a peaceful place. Even if it is in the island of Mindanao. It is the safest place here. You can roam around the city at night without any fear. You can also use your gadgets even if you are in public places. Nobody will harm you here! Try to visit Davao. I can say, it smells like hell but tastes like heaven. You should come to Davao City and try to eat durian. If you don't like to eat the fruit, there are durian candies and durian-flavored ice cream. You should try it! It's delicious!

There are many beautiful places in the Philippines. We just have to visit them. Each city has its own identity. Davao City is a beautiful city. It is one of the safest cities in the Philippines. Try to visit Davao soon. Happy mylotting!

I'm currently residing in Manila but I spent half of my life in Davao. I also visit there yearly and I also bought a house there. If my company would have a branch in Davao, I'd transfer in a heartbeat.
Davao is a very nice place, you can drink the water from any faucet inside Davao City. The place itself is very organize, clean. safe and fun! The night life in Davao is comparable if not better than the one in Manila. You can walk around at night without getting to worry if someone might mug you.I'll be going back to Davao next year for a vacation and I know, I will enjoy it a lot.

I agree with you goggles213. You can walk around the city at night without any fear. You can use your cellphone in the public without any worry. Davao has one of cleanest water in the world. It's safe to drink tap water. I hope you can bring your friends here in Davao so that they will see what Davao City is. I know most of the people in Luzon think that the whole Mindanao is chaotic and dangerous place. I hope through this, they will be enlightened. Happy mylotting!

You should try to come back in Davao. I'm sure you will have a great time here. There are a lot of tourist attractions that you'd surely like. It is one of the best places in the Philippines to relax and be close to nature!

Hi there fella. I am also a Filipino and like you, I've never been to Davao yet. I heard it's a nice city considering that it is the biggest city in the world by land area. Davao city is one of the places I want to go to in the Philippines before planing trips abroad if my budget would agree with it.
