Eat something before exercise

My friend said that we must take something to eat before doing any exercise..I think this is the good things since our stomach could be hurt and the foods maybe not digest properly in our digestion system. However, he said we shall not eat heavy meal but fruit only since fruits will be easy and fast to digest..Maybe what he meant is doing morning exercise since usually we get up early and doing jogging or biking but our stomach still empty, after exercise then we will feel hungry and eating more than we used to eat..What do you think? Which is better and how to prevent any stomach or digestion problem before doing exercise?

many doctors suggest suggest that do the exercise with empty stomach. usually it takes minimum of 1 hour for the digestion process to complete if you had some vegetarian food. fruits and raw vegetables will get digested very quickly than any other things. If you start exercise immediately after eating, your energy will be used to move your hands, legs and other things instead of digestion process. I am not sure that i am right. but i was said by many people to do exercise with empty stomach and not to eat anything before exercise.

well, you have good points.. We should consult with doctor first prior to do anything related with our own health..The Natural foods usually will get digest faster than cook foods..When eating actually our body also using calories and our energy being used as well..My friend said better to eat fruit no longer than 30 minutes before exercise, I guess we should ask doctor first like you said..

I think it is better to have food afterthe excercise. I say so because it may cause to improper digestion. There is no problem when we have light food items before exercise, i mean chips and drinks. I mostly used to have a cup of tea before doing my regular exercise in morning. What about you?

Yeah, you have good points..Maybe the root cause of improper digestion is not always the same..Those light foods or snacks maybe will not make our stomach full, but whether it is good for our health is the question.. You have nice habit to doing exercise by only consumed those drinks.. I like to eat apple or grab pear before doing any exercise, and no problem so far..

yes you need to something for your body needs calories to convert into energy... just imagine yourself as a car with out gas... how will go any further if it's empty right? same as your body with out food you will feel weak...

well, really good analogy, I think you have good points here..Just like car engine, Our body also need to warm up and has energy before doing any exercise..However, new car seems more efficient than old ones..I think my analogy is not suitable for our body...

Well I used to be a professional football player and I remember when I used to go for my morning sessions I never took anything.Just fresh up my self and go to ground for exercise and when I come back home .Then I used to have everything, I Like. Everything was fine with me. have a nice day
