Based on research there are foods that are considered "super foods" because of their nutritional value. Do you deliberately take these kind of foods? I have made a list here: http://nut.bz/41gw6dp./ Do you think there are other super foods not mentioned here? What could be the most healthy of them all and proven effective.

I eat quite a lot of beetroot It has been said it contains lots of iron. Plus I really like beetroot as well. I grew some in my garden this year, very yummy and saved me some money

Beetroot is very good for health. It is a vegetation with plenty of important vitamins which is required for our health. For girls it can be used as pips stick. Do you use it girls ?

I think human beings should have all the variety of foods which include fishes, meats and vegetables in correct proportion then only our body will be balanced in good ratio. So I think it is very important to have all types of food materials which we have around us. What do you think?

I am truly convinced that fruit/veggies/nuts and seeds are all super foods, when grown without organics...and NOT processed! Eating in their most natural state, as possible without cooking out all the nutrients! I truly feel that there is NOT one that can be singled out as having the most benefits, as each has it's one pluses! So, therefore it is good thing to enjoy each and everyone of them! Cheers!

Hey pergammano, You are right. Each of the vegetable has it's own value. Each of them give different types of vitamins which is needed for our body and it is god to have all the fruits and vegetables.

WOW...did not realize all of the typo's I had in my response, until just re-reading it now! Every day, my in-box is bombarded with news of a new superfood...or you see/hear about them on all of the Dr.shows! But I think common sense tells us, not everything that we require nutrionally can be in one superfood! When a food is high in vitamin C..it will be lacking in another vitamin! For our best health, know our fruits/veggies/nuts/grains/seeds...and what they best supply, and eat a moderate amount of each! I do not include ANY Fast Food..or processed food in my diet if I can avoid it! Forgot to say....Welcome to myLot!

Averygirl72, I believe star apple is also one of the superfoods. I heard that it can prevent cancer and can also treat cancer patients. It also stops the progression of diabetes. This information is based on what I heard from my friends and my mother. We have star apple tree in our backyard and my mother always eats the ripe fruit because she's diabetic.

Hey, I found an Infographic on Internet about superfoods, you can find all the information about the superfoods here. hope this helps
You may have seen or read about Superfoods and how healthy they are, and it's true they are healthy as they are full of nutrients and vitamins. However, there are no "miracle food" that will make you drop 10 kilos in one week, that's not the right approach
