What's the Nicest Thing You Think You've Done to Others in Your Entire Life?

I was sitting down contemplating one day and this question came to my mind. I don't think I have done what I can say was the nicest thing or most kind thing to others in the past years. I have done good things, of course, but I have yet to do better than those. How about you? What's the nicest thing you've done to others?

I bet you are a nice person. Even people who do crazy things or people who do bad things have kindness in their hearts. Keep it up, lijoos! Thank you :)

I think the nicest thing I have done is help a family in a time when they were in trouble financially, even though I could not really afford to do so I could not see them out on the street.

It's nice to help in anyway you can as long as those you are helping really need help and not become abusive of your kindness and generosity in the long run. Can you help me financially? Hehe, just kidding. Keep up the good work!

I have made sure that I have stayed with my parents after my marriage through their old age. I had not even an iota of thought ever in my life that I move out or ask them to that either. There were times when this used to be considered non negotiable but times have changed and it pains me whenever I see old age parents kept away from their sons & daughters fending for themselves. This is unfair for them I thought. But I can't take credit for this all myself since I needed total understanding from my wife. And she was quite pragmatic & understanding too. It would have been extremely difficult thing for them to manage by themselves since my father has been a chronic sufferer from anxiety neurosis. I have some sense of redemption because of this.

You have a valid reason to stay with your parents, they need you. You are lucky to have an understanding wife. I appreciate you caring for your parents even when most of the time it's hard. Keep it up!

I think the nicest thing that I have done to someone in my entire life is giving them a piece of my time. Time is precious. Time is gold. You cannot unwind and control time. It is best gift you could give to your loved ones.Especially now a days that people have become busier and busier with work, studies and etc that they forget to spend quality time with their loved ones. I was once like that. But I've realized that it is wrong. Now, I spend more time with my family. ^_^

I hate it when I'm always in a rush or busy working. I forgot about my love ones, sometimes they become the least of my priorities, it makes me guilty. You are right about giving quality time. Thank you for this reminder!

Well, the nicest thing I'm capable of doing everyday in school is smiling in front everyone. It is easy, and I notice how it adds an air of relaxation during a conversation or so. I haven't done something extraordinary in my life, since I haven't even lived enough to do something! But, I remember when I was young (about 9), I was going alone to the grocery to buy some stuff for my mother, and I found a very poor women walking the street. I had some extra money in my pocket, so I gave her some. I still remember the feel of content I experienced after doing so. I love to help the poor, but I don't go out often to get the chance!

I think giving is always the best way to help those who are in need but there are always other means to help like helping poor or old folks cross the street. I like what you said about smiling. It's hard to smile if you are stressed and have lots to think about, but when you try to smile it all, it helps relieve stress. Thanks for the response!

I think the nicest thing I have been doing to other people is listening to their problems and giving them advise. People around me consider me as a person with sense and good grasp when it comes to problems. because of that, They often go to me for advice. I don't really mind this at all since I know I am helping people. People would thanks me for the advice I gave. However, the only thing that hurts sometimes is when the problem goes awry and the advice didn't work, I get blamed. But then again, it's life.

You cannot always find someone who is a good listener and then give a sound advice at the same time. Keep up the good work and don't get tired doing good things for them. Thanks for the response!
