Giveaways by companies on Facebook / myLot

I think I am not the only one who notices it, but a lot of companies or even individuals are using facebook in holding their giveaways and other promos and contests. I don't know but I read somewhere that facebook doesn't like it to be used as a contest/giveaway site. But I really enjoy joining giveaways on facebook nevertheless. How about you have you joined/won an contest that was hold on facebook?

Hello welcome to mylot I have face book account,i have noticed this too, but i visit there rarely,though i have huge number of friends. I visit only when there is a new friend request, accept it.i have never joined any contest lol. Thanks for sharing Best of luck.

Yes, I joined many Facebook contests and won some. It's addicting but it also requires enough time and there should be no interference.

well i think they do this because a lot of people are in facebook. they ought to reach a big market by doing this... you wouldnotice too that the products or companies doing this... are those that well need the market they need.

I have won free food many times. I signed up for Facebook because of a contest and now I print out coupons to many places saving me a lot of money this year. That first contest I won a free dinner and all they wanted was me to like their Facebook page. I visit the restaurant at least once a month, so that was the easiest free meal for me.
