Hi choukseyMK, It is good to be vegetarian because it has a lot of benefits to the body. But, we also need some amounts of fish or chicken, to get protein. It is important to eat in moderation to get all the nutrients needed by our body.

agreed with you. everyone can not be converted into a vegetarian. otherwise there will a big trouble; we do not enough veg food for to feed everyone. proteins, nutrients are available in veg food too. vegetarian lives healthy life and longer. of course fish is a healthy food, contains omega 3 fatty acids. very beneficiary from health point of view.

True people who are taught to be non vegetarian they will like meat. I am of the view one should take controlled non vegetarian food depending on suitability for his health. But regarding illness or problems of health they do not depend on vegetarian food or NV food. Both the people get all illnesses depending on their genes and structure.

My sister is a vegetarian. She is a major lover of animals, and wants to protect them as much as possible.

There are many more benefits as well... save money, improve your awareness, resistance to diseases & providing us with a faster recovery time with less intense symptoms, raw-fooders avoid "killers" like cancer & AIDS entirely. Such a diet has been shown to be responsible for much improved fertility rates for men & women. The food is much safer on a veg diet. And most "importantly", the taste is much better! Being veg also is the fastest, most efficient means by which any individual anywhere in the world can halt & reverse global warming, reduce air & water pollution, reduce soil erosion, eliminate overgrazing, reduce water depletion & save energy. It would save all governments a huge amount of money every year if the subsidies to prop up this most inefficient (0.1% efficient) industry upon the face of the earth were discarded. You have many great & powerful men & women in India who speak constantly on the urgency to switch to a veg diet. This is nothing new to the Indian people. Before the British & the Muslims came, the great people of India were all vegetarian. I pray they return to the glorious days of their distant past, & I pray for the means to be hastened.

I am a vegetarian. It is because my parents taught me to be a vegetarian. Cholesterol will be less in vegetarian food than non vegetarian food. It is good for health.
