I saw this special i think it was on Discovery. about the things that would occur to the world if human kind just, all of a sudden, vanish into thin air. The things that will happen to the stuff that we leave behind. The homes, the pets, the plants, artificial cities, Landmarks, Gigantic structures, Power plants, Nuclear wastes, Oil reserved, Art, Places of worship, and even our share on recreating new life from a bacteria on a probe that we sent to watch over distant planets and that recreated a new cycle of evolution remaking a new earth millions of years from now. What do you think what will happen to our precious earth after we suddenly vanished??? What scenarios can you foresee for the things that we leave behind???

I don´t think the earth would miss us. Maybe some endangered species would take over. After all there´s no other species that is so harmful to the planet as we are. I suppose that all our dwellings will we taken up by nature, as it happens with the ruins of old civilizations.

I do hope the next people on earth have less flaws than we, human beings, have. There´s not a day when I´´m not ashamed of what we do. Violence and wars, destroying the plnet, throwing away the earth´´s bounty, selfishness. You name it.

I agree and eventually all that we leave behind will be things to be studied by whom ever creature we leave behind to dominate. And i think they will be fascinated and also disgusted with how we took over the planet but good thing is, if that happens they can learn from our mistakes so that they can live in a better world.

Well that would be interesting, wouldn't it? I think that it would be rather fascinating to see that there is going to have to be someone who is going to be the dominant species on the planet. I do think that it is going to be a barren land for a while but will all of the damage that we caused be reversed when we are no longer here to do more damage? That is really something that fascinates me, almost in a scary way to think about. In the end, there are a lot of things that we have in fact done but you just wonder if the world can perish. And I wonder if there is going to be one species on this planet that was just biding their time and now that we're gone, they're going to take over the planet. Cats seem to be the most likely candidate for world domination with humans out of the picture.

You are quite right eventually a new breed of creatures will emerge as the super existence once we are gone according to the show it would either be between snakes and cats since cats are one of the most versatile mammals that has all the abilities to survive and evolve into something greater while it is also the same for snakes. So I guess may the best creature wins but they'd have to wait till were gone...

hello, I just cant imagine that. Well, if that will happen I think the world will start for something new and I don't have any idea about that only god knows. The world will be boring and nothing, in short it is useless.

I think so but maybe not so boring according to the show a new breed will take over the place we leave behind and eventually become a civilization themselves so it might take millions of years but not really that boring.

If all human beings are banished from the earth suddenly than no one will be left to think about this. So we should enjoy today and stop worrying about all this. This has no significance in our lives. We should just enjoy this moment.

The things created by us would gradually decay I guess. I don't think the Earth would miss us, there's more people that harm it than people that look after it...

I second your motion on that one, I hate to admit it but we are the cause of most of the earth's problems and unless we truely find a way to avoid carbon footprint 100% I believe that we are just you problem for mother nature but i hope we don't just go that way without word it's kinda impolite right??? thanks for the comment timeout.
