I have seen Jessica Soho’s tv episode of “suman” last Saturday, hence this topic. I like ating suman too, but because it is made of glutinous rice, not much. Though, if it’s the super sticky “suman”, I like eating it topped with some “kalamay”
It’s said that in San Fernando Pampanga they have the “suman festival” . But their suman costs PhP10.00, but it’s the suman –ibos con latik kind. This is the kind of suman I like because of the “latik” and the super sticky, greenish suman.
In Antipolo, suman sa ibos is also their famous product. But theirs only cost PhP5.00 per piece and so is our suman or we call it “ibos” here in our province.
In Leyte, their suman is with chocolate sauce on top.
In Marilao, Bulacan their suman is made of pinipig and they look so delicious! I’d like to taste that someday too.
They also showed a restaurant serving suman with some slices of mango on top. I wonder how does that taste ? I guess, you as a Filipino , have tasted suman too.
