i think the best way is for you to just not bring any money, and no atm. just bring exactly what you need for something you need to buy! and do not go to anywhere else where you do not need to go just to "look"at them.. it is the first to have yourself be tempted. i guess

I don't really do this too much probbaly b/c I don't have a whole lot of spending money currently. Maybe jot down what you need and just stick to it, and don't stay in the store too long.

What I'd do, is every week I get my allowance or if I was given a certain amount for spending...I'd deposit it into my bank and then transfer it to PayPal and use my PP debit card. When the money was gone, I had to stop shopping! It worked very well! Then...every week/month that I ended up not spending all that months allowance...I'd take the balance and send it to my savings acount! I have a very nice little savings nest egg right now cause of this! Once you do it for awhile, watch sales, use coupons...it gets to be second nature and easy and you find you don't miss anything! I was just given my christmas budget...and will be sending it to PayPal...then I keep track of what I spend on each person and know I can't go over. Plus..not carrying cash around during the crowded holiday season....safety first! And other than that.. I use cash. I don't like debit cards much as they are tied to my bank account. At least if someone gets my PP debit card...there is a little time I can catch the theif as I have a setting that sends me notice of a copy of the receipt from PP.. If I see one I didn't do, I can address it right there. But debit cards are for most, just a quick way to spend everything you have. It is so easy and "out of sight, out of mind". You tend to spend more easily! But if you hav cash in your hand and see it is running low...you will know you are almost out and spent your limit. Another thing...checks. If you have to write a check and see it in the registery right there and do the subtraction and see the money going...you are more likely to not spend so much! All these ways just take a little time to work before they start to be second nature. Good luck!

I think one thing you should do is just bring exactly what you need. Just the amount of money that you need. Otherwise, you may find yourself in a similar dilemma. You can make a list of what you need, or have a clear idea of what you may need before you go out. This may also help you not spend more than you have to.

I think that the most important thing that you should do when you're going shopping is to make a list of all of the things that you plan to buy while you're out. This makes sure that you don't forget anything, but also means that you won't have to worry about spending too much as you will only be buying the things that are on the list. You should take cash out before you come shopping and leave your card at home so that this means you won't be able to spend more than you planned to spend before you came out.

dont use credit cards, stay out of stores and if you absolutely must shop, shop with a list and stick to it and only bring enough money for the items on your list.

Welcome to Mylot Qmark! You can control your shopping by putting a limited sums of money in your wallet. That way, you wont indulge in shopping. Also, dont bring your credit card with you hahahah!

Well thats a problem . Your problem :P But i think you can fix it by making a list of what you MUST buy and the rest when you see just dodge and avoid . Shoping is addiction to many womans :D But i when you make a list of what you MUST buy then should be ok , and try to restrain yourself . But if the question is more that you dont have enough money for everything then you start getting iconomical :) Less or cheaper , just so u can get in your budged :) Thats what i think :P

Don't bring all your money. Get some and not all. Through that, you won't spend all your money for shopping. If you don't have any more money in your wallet/purse to spend, then, definitely, you will no longer buy anything else. Before going out, you can also make a list of those you need to buy -just the important ones.

I dont bring a lot of money when i go to malls. I made a list of what to buy and write opposite those the amount i expect to pay for those things.then ill know more or less how much do i need to take with me.You cant stop yourself from buying things unless you don't have money in your pocket to spend..

My best advice would be to take cash, no checks and no credit cards. JUST cash. That way before going shopping you can set down and see exactly WHAT you can afford to spend and still have enough to pay bills, buy food, etc. You take JUST that amount of CASH with you to store and leave everything else at home. Don't leave it in your car because if you see something you really like, you'll be tempted to run outside and grab your credit card or check book. When the cash you took is gone, then no more spending.
