Beware those scams on facebook

Recently, I saw some of those advertisements about free air plane tickets from SouthWest airline, all you have to do just click on the link provided in facebook, and they will bring you to fill out some form. Watch out for it, you might be infected with virus, or they might turn your computer to be a bot, which will send those infectious message or mail to your friends list. Also, those scam ads like free iPad 2 can not be real. Nothing is free just telling you to click on their banners. So, beware of them.

You're quite right when you say that there are a lot of scams on social networking websites, and I don't think that the managers of those websites do anywhere near enough to be able to stop these scams from happening to people. One of my friends has just been a victim of a scam where she was given a free sample but she had to provide her bank number so that "easy payments" could be taken after the free period ended. They took £230 out of her bank account and she apparently is never able to get that back now.
