Does anybody know of the best computers to make music on. I'm currently running on a gateway windows7. I've heard MacBooks and IMacs are pretty good. But I don't have nearly enough money for such computer. Even though there said to be more top of the line computer for producers, Im not really a fan of the programs that it limits you to. I'm into making dubstep and metal and I'm getting a Akai Apc40 this Christmas (hopefully) I currently use Ableton live 8 and FL Studios 10

Music is an art, so, be creative. I bet you can have bloody Apple Mac of your own, if you wanted, dearly. "An old classic church organ can be still a cool musical instrument" . . . . If you have a limited cash on hand for a brand new Apple Mac, you have to go searching for previous models or used or refurbished Macs like MacBooks or iMacs. Of course they must still be working or still in good shape. They are so plenty, and also cheaper. Some of these used Macs might be used by musicians like you. And if you like, you can search also with previous models or used or refurbished iPads or iPod Touch. Beside of a great combinations for having a Mac, they have a lot of apps that can used greatly by musicians.

for best results Mac is the ONE! If you can't buy Mac then buy any with higher performances.
