Accepting Friend Request

I don't accept all the friend requests. No matter in facebook or other sites. I think we should first to know a little about this person before we add them as friends, in fact, i think if we accept all the friend requests, then the list of our friends will be longer and longer, maybe lots of them you can't remember names at all later. If so, can you call them as friends? Too many friends equals no friends.

Nope, i will only add people i know or mutual friends of friends. I dun accept requests from strangers but i do send request to strangers.. haha It was fun for me initially but i eventually got bored of it and i have not been active since I seen people with hundreds, thousands of friends but what's the point? They are only virtual ones, it's a waste of time.. haha

i dont always because they usually are people that want to play games. i tell everyone, i dont play facebook games i only play on pogo. so most of my friends there are family and people from here that dont play the facebook games.

But if you want to know my opinion, when I first joined Facebook, I accepted somewhat all. I realized then, as time goes on I think it is useless to accept that maybe they are friends from other parts of the globe and do not post their opinions on various message boards. So now I have decided to accept people with whom I can have social relationships and maybe even chat with them from time to time. Should however noted that Facebook has changed recently, trying to divide the friends in various circles, perhaps to the city, for common interests, etc..

before i used to be accepting all friends request to have a lot of friends but i found out that it wasn't cool at all so i have been deleting friends i do not know. i have a separate account for my personal account and shop account. with my shop it's open to all who would want to befriend me. i accept them so that a lot of my products would be sold. but still i am very cautious about it since i might meet a fake customer.

Yes I do accept all the friend request I have on facebook. I think there's nothing wrong in accepting them, after all this is a social site. Since it's a social site you will meet your old friends and eventually you'll meet new ones.

you are absolutely correct Red. actually i enjoy and comfortable more with mylot where i have several friends and other mylotters who do not know each other. there no hesitation to write blogs/discussion, response comments and many more. you and your discussion have no boundaries. you are exposed worldwide. Yes, I accept all friend requests. I see no reason why not. We can have thousands or friends here so that is just cool.

That's true! As long as there is any common friend listed in the sender's profile it is easy to accept that person's friend request. As far as an unknown person is concerned I am quite cautious about adding anyone, but yes I have added a few unknown people in my friend list and I find them to be good human beings.

Hi red, Of course you can I used to add them up and accept them before because of my games, and then I stopped... but since I am promoting some thing I am now accepting friends again 'though I am still choosing whom to add. But anyway, I have set my album privacy so it's okay =)

HI RED, I understand that you have reason to accept any and everybody in facebook because of your business. But I absolutely do not accept everyone who request me in facebook...I don't need friends that bad. I don't have the need to make my friends number large...There is not reason for me. If I don't know you your request just sits there in facebook cyber space lol.. I don't even think I know 500 hundred people...just a number I threw out there.

If i ever wanted another facebook account it would be strickly for games and i would add anyone, but for my person account i am very careful. So it also depends what type of account you want to have.

I actually have two accounts in Facebook...one is for my personal account and the other would be for my online shop. I accept all friend requests for my online shop, but I choose the ones that I do for my personal one. I make sure that everyone on my personal account is someone that I know.

True ,but in mine before i accept all whoever wanted to mine friend but now i did not easy to accep but chose only those people i know.. That is easy for me to do it and now i am careful.

If the person has a common friend that i know quite well i would most likely add them. But if it was just a random person with no common friends, there is no way i would add them. They could be a hacker or just a troll.
