Do the ends justify the means?

If you were told that by killing one innocent person you would end world hunger, what would you do? It's one of those things that will never happen, but look inside yourself and weigh the options. Morally I could never take a persons life. But in essence that person would be saving the lives of thousands upon thousands of people who die of starvation every year. In this case do you believe the ends would justify the means?

NO. I would rather die also than survive a world situation that is based on such silly notion and I don't think it will end just like that. How could be a justified means if its wrong in the first place?
