Hello fellow mylotters. It feels great to be back here. I wasn't able to post something here for more than a year due to my hectic schedule. I've been working as a company nurse in one of the biggest furniture companies here in our place. The experience I had the was a combination of good and bad. It was good because being a company nurse is what I've been dreaming of since I was in college. I also met many friends there. The salary isn't that big but it isn't bad as well. One thing I didn't like about it is the management. It was very poor. Our manager is like a monster. She doesn't have the heart for her employees. That is exactly the reason why I resigned from my job. I could no longer take her bad attitude. Now, I am jobless but I believe that there will still be a better company that could offer me better opportunities than what my previous company has offered me.

I am about 8 months behind on posts myself as I have been a student and sick a lot of the time so didn't have time to come in here. I am in the hospital now so I'm on a break from school for another two weeks. I don't think I would continue to work for someone who acted the way you describe your manager either. I'm sure that by now you have found another job...at least I hope you did! Have a great week!!!

It is sad that you had to resign over one person. I hope you can find something. Jobs are hard to get right now, although medical seems a little easier to get.

Hi friend, It's ok to quit from your job if you can't take the pressure anymore. I am sure that you have been trying to withstand the pressure your manager put forward towards you and other staffs but sometimes patience has its limit too. I really understand your situation because I have been in your shoes in the past. I had a monstrous boss and she used to yell at me from another room! I was embarrassed and feel humiliated by what she did. It was as if I didn't have any dignity when she did that to me. I resigned within 24 hours because my dignity is more valuable than the little money that she pays me each month. As for your case, I believe there are many more vacancies available out there. Just be patience and you will be able to find one that suits your interest. Good luck!

poor management and nagger employer is one of the reason people resign into their Jobs. Even if they know that looking for a jobs today is very hard. People is force to resign due to mismanagement and everything which is inhuman... Don't be sad, my friend. You said your a nurse we know that nurse is very in demand today. You can either apply in the government hospital...or abroad which more opportunities for nurses

I am late on this one, but it is never to late to respond. There is a time when people need to move on. I hope you find something better soon or you might have already found one. May prosperity comes to you and may you be blessed.

Hello there... It was good to quit the job where the management wasn't good. But if I were you then I'd have found another before resigning. And yet, I'm sure you've thought of it before... Good Luck!!!

good day pentagan12, with reference to your topic discusssion, well don't feel sorry for what happenened. as the many people are saying, everything is happening for a certain reason. often times situations do occurs even we do not want it to happen. and there are times, we do a lot of plans, but none of them happens. in your situation, it will be best if you will pray hard and seek God's will. perhaps, your move is one step ahead to your next journey. as God is preparing your way towards a much higher career level. as you have said, a better opportunities.

Hello pentagan12, Its so sad that you lost your job or you had to leave the job but believe me it happens in almost all the organisations.I too work in an organisation and the management is not good here too as they treat us like machine and expect us to perform much in less time. I too sometime think of leaving the job but then i cannot because i am the only earning member in the family but i will change it once i will find the better one.Hope you too find the better one if you are looking for a job.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Don't worry, there are still other companies out there. I believe there is a great opportunity waiting for you. In my work place, my immediate supervisor is also a monster and I hate being there. I hate all of them but I have no choice but to deal with them because I needed a job. I'll just wait for the time that they will be re assigned. It's kinda near and I feel somehow happy. Hahahaha..

Wow, if ever I would pursue nursing, a company nurse would be the first choice i would make... if given the opportunity. it's too bad that the manager you talked about is awful, though you shouldn't have left so abruptly. anyway, i wish luck on a job that will offer more good things for you.

Loosing a job is a great opportunity to face another challenge. You lost one and may find another one. Just carry what you learn from your "monster boss" because you will face a bigger than her. :) lol. Don't worry you will get a far way better job than you have. More important is you learn more from the past. I have many boss same as yours and i find much better than the other later on. keep on. good luck to us finding new job..

Yes, that is absolutely I want to hear from you friend. I did quit several times for the goodness in me. I would never lay my hopes on people, I lay my hopes on God. I always believe that there is a better way or job in the other places. They might think that they're the only company where we can depend our life on their company, we must take a step when they have enough done anything for you. We have to be able to show off we can do a lot better in finding job on the other places.

Oh oh! It's sad. Though I haven't worked under anyone yet I understand how difficult it is to work under someone who is insensitive towards the employees. My friend was a teacher in a school here. The Principal of that school was extremely insensitive and rowdy and would treat the staff disrespectfully. She and many other staff members were unhappy with the Principal's behavior. Finally, my friend resigned from that job. Anyways, you sound to be quite a positive person and as you believe that you will have better opportunities coming your way, I believe you surely will have. Good luck to you! May you be blessed with the best job this time.

Though I believe you are feeling bad right now for not having a job, just think of the experience you've had with your last company as your stepping stone to success. Now you have an experience as a company nurse, you are now more marketable to other companies who are looking for a nurse like you. This gives you an edge over those who have recently graduated and those who have no experience yet in this line of work. Just pray to God to help you find the work that is meant for you.

Hello pentagan, since you had lost your job because of poor management what you believe is true. Sometimes we have to lower our pride to that matter. A test even you are already employed. Maybe your manager acts like a monster because she wants her employees to be always active and ready in their line of work.
