my cats played under and over my christmas tree....

I have two cats and two kittens, they are really very adorable, and love playing around the house, since, christmas is coming, my children and i decided to put up our christmas tree, we really have fun putting up christmas tree and decorations, but our cats had more fun that us, because after we have put up our christmas tree, they played on the christmas balls and other decorations in it. And the saddest part is that they played over under and in our christmas tree that makes our christmas tree fall down and never go up again. Now, we don't have our christmas tree at home, maybe we just have to celebrate christmas without christmas tree instead. =(

Hi prasanta,
I think she is just expressing and sharing her experience here on myLot. She enjoyed watching, the cats enjoyed playing... they don't have Christmas tree and that's it. I can't see any resentment towards the cat, or the fact that they don't have any Christmas tree at home now or whatever. Maybe just sharing it here

Yes, christmas tree and cats don't mix,lol! You need to put something under the tree or on the tree that will deter them so they won't be pulling it down. Cats hate orange oil and deodorant, especially moth balls. The problem is, moth balls smell terrible, but at least the orange oil won't. Try that and see if it works.

My cat also love to play under the Christmas tree and trying to reach those colorful Christmas balls.So far our tree is still standing and hope not fall will my cat enjoy playing underneath.

I'm really sorry that you couldn't put up your tree again, bb_gabs! I'm sure your cute and adorable furry friends didn't mean to ruin your Christmas. They are just being playful. It must have been really fun and heartwarming to see the kittens wrestle, sneak-up and pounce on each other.
We still have time for Christmas. Is it possible to get another tree just in time? The room always seems to be a lot cozier with the presence of a Christmas tree.

Hahaha..you are right julian, thats what I also think, they don't mean to ruin our christmas tree and they don't really ruined our christmas either. Me and my kids love our furry friends and can spend christmas without a christmas tree, but we cannot celebrate christmas without our little cute furry friends... =)

Most stray cats are like that, i hate cats, they spoil my beds, sofa sets and steal food from our kitchen lol.

I think you have to buy them some toys so if you decide to buy a new one and put another tree, their attention would be with the new toys they have.
I really had a good laugh reading this But sad to know you're not gonna have your tree this Christmas.

Hahaha..yeah, they think the balls in our christmas tree is their new toys, I do have toys for them to play, but they really have fun jumping and playing around my tree. BUt its ok, we love our cats, and we enjoy watching them playing around the house. =)
