I think it is a matter of personal choice, if one's friends can't accept you as you are. I think you should always be yourself and proud of who you are :)

I also have short hair and I like it but I think short hair don't like me because i'm a little bit chubby and because of my hair I look more chubby that's why i'm trying to make my hair longer. I think short hair will depend of the fashion of the person. More people like long hair but I think it okay if you like short hair but if you think that your friend want you to have long hair, try it. Maybe you look more good in long hair.

I am a male and I prefer my girlfriend to have long hair. I don't think that you should be bothered by what your friend said. I like long haired girl because the hair gives them a sense of femininity. Short hair gives boyish and aggressive image in my opinion. But they are easier to be managed. My advise is, just do what you like as long as you are comfortable with your hair.

I think there are certain things which should be extremely personal. To me any attribute related to my body is my personal choice.. so is my hairs. If i like short hairs i will go for that and if i like long i will go for that. And i believe in dare to be different theory too.. so just chill and enjoy your life with your decisions which you believe are right...

My girlfriend rocks short hair, and she looks great with it because she likes it. It really depends on how you feel about it; confidence is beauty.
