She needs to be applauded for the work she's done. I mean no Indian actress would have dared to act in such a bold role. She needs to be commended. Although the movie is kind of dirty it's worth watching because it's based on facts and a true story as to how people exploit somebody for money and fame.

Not sure she did it because she was daring. I presume she did it because she was not getting any roles. Thanks to the way our film industry is going.

I beg to defer with you Vandana, I guess you must have seen paa and the way she acted there, she's a genuine actress and has really great acting skills. She gained weight for the movie, it isn't like she didn't have any movie, she had offers but as the story was based on a true story and you know the film industry is so morally corrupt and exploit girls (new entrance) for their own ill benefits, she decided to took up the role and bring the truth in front of people. Ekta Kapoor made Indian audiences to see dirty picture with family and she brought out the dirty side of the audiences for which she needs to be commended.

I will say this. Nobody in film industry has any lofty ideals, be it Ekta Kapoor, or Vidya Balan. Vidya Balan was exceptionally beautiful in that Parineeta. But thereafter, she has put on fat in wrong places, and any attempts to shed them destroys the beauty of her face. So she is obviously not the first choice of film makers, even after Paa. She has a structure on which contemporary clothing looks odd. So my logic says, she plans to make hay while the sun shines. The quote is not mine.

I know that THE DIRTY PICTURE picture is a very good film who takes the role of silk smitha by vidya balan. I love her very much. I think she have a different role in this film and she has proved that she can have any role. I congrats her for what she had did. My cousins and I am going to watch it out for this Sunday. Is any one joining with us.

Is that an American Film? Judging by the title and the people involved it doesn't sound like it. I'm from America and we have completely different films around here, and a film with that title probably wouldn't fly around here. Also, if it has music in it, if it isn't a Disney and it has music in it, then people really start to question. To us, if there is going to be music in a movie, there has to be a reason for it, it has to make sense with the overall story, and it better have a good story of people just won't stay interested. I have seen people in this country dismiss several non-Disney films with music because they didn't go with the overall story or they didn't make any sense with the movie.

What is the need to picturise a movie on a person who doesnt exist anymore. When the person lives on earth no one likes to respect or even feel that person as human ,they do unnecessary comments and no one know what is the actual soul of the person. What the need to picturise on such a heroine and what makes sense if they show her as a right one or a wrong character. What and who needs to know about those stories ,and who can learn any good from that stories.
