Does number of responses influence whether or not you reply to a discussion?

I was just looking through discussions when I thought about this. Do you still post to a discussion if it has more than 8 responses? I know that sometimes I don't respond to discussions like that mainly because I think that I won't get answered. If I see a discussion that already has 15 or more, then I won't post in it. lol I really don't know why I do this and I think I'm going to change this bad habit. I can still post a response if I like the topic or have information to share about it. What do you guys do? It was just a random thought on my mind.

Not in the slightest. I honestly feel that if I have something to add and I am not going to really be bothered whether a discussion topic has 2 responses or 200 hundred. There are a lot of times, where I don't even see the post number, until after I post. I just go in there, post, and shrug my shoulders, before I absolutely move on. When you get into a posting groove, you can't afford to be picky, otherwise you're going to lose pretty much all of your momentum. That is just really the way that the ball rolls. I tend to not be too bothered with what is said before me either. There are times where I'm sure I'm just reflecting what someone said, but that just proves that people think the same I do and that's scary.

You have really good points. There are days when I'm really picky about which discussions I post in and then there are other days where I just post in a bunch without realizing how many people posted before me.

I don't care how many response the topic has as long as I can relate to it. But,I always noted those mylotters who never response back to their topic. Those kind of response collectors- who keeps starting a topic and never care to comment back. I will never come to that mylotter's topic again.

I do the same thing!! I try to remember who doesn't comment back so I don't answer one of their discussions again. If it's an opinion question, I like it when people answer back with their thoughts, lol I don't like it when my answers just get ignored.

I feel happy if I got more responses but not worry if not getting more responses. I also not care how many response in the discussion if discussion is interested then I respond on it.

I dont care how many responses the comments have , I just look over all and choose the ones I am interest in, anyway , i dont have much time to go through all sadly and when I comeback later on , there are more and more comments so , I star all ove again just reading which I like.

I kinda relate on your thoughts, I am also skeptical to response a discussion that has a lot of response thinking that the discussion are already resolves its queries. I am more active to response in a discussion that has no response or only few had comments on it.

Yes, I'm the same way. If it' a question that needs a specific answer, I won't answer it if someone already posted the right answer. But if it's more of an opinion type question, then I'll usually answer it.

Sometimes I do make some responses to discussions here in mylot especially if they seem interesting. But there are also times that I can't respond since I'm also doing some other things which captures my interest. It depends on the discussion maybe..

I do reply to any interesting discussion no matter how many responses. Some members do reply and only a few who don not. Don't be discouraged by the few who don't reply.
