Gift of Knowing...

December 16, 2011 10:33am CST
This is not something new, I have always wanted to know more about this stuff... I have a rare type of sensing... I can sense if something is about to happened or has already happened through my dreams.. I don't like to be called superstitious but this thing kept bugging me almost my entire life.. I would know if I passed or failed the exam even before the result is being released.. I will see the exact grade in my dreams.. I didn't really believe it at first untill I saw my father lying death on a bed.. a month before his sudden death..is there any explanation for this? My son seems to inherit this gift too.. he knows all the things he is going to get for his birthday and Christmas....

That is scary.... They say people back on the early days rely on dreams to see the future and I guess if your telling to truth, your like one of them. Maybe it's like a deja vu of some sort. well I'm no expert, but it is interesting at the same time it is creepy

yeah some people in the past relied on dreams but in other culture people who tell what will happen in the future (prediction) is not treated very well some even consider it as an evil work or something and some people who practiced it was punished. While deja vu is a different thing, deja vu is seeing something that you feel have happened in the past or a situation that you have experienced before.

This ability is a psychological phenomena that is called precognition. If it is really true you are so gifted and I hope you can use it in a positive way, I am not saying your lying but I think many have claimed they have such a gift of precognition but I think very few have proven it.

I am not an expert but I have read a lot about dreams, unusual abilities/occurrences, weird things and psychology in general and many psychologist said dreams can be product of things that we are afraid to happen , things that are always in our mind, things we fantasize, things we want have or achieve in the future so it might be that you are somehow expecting it and subconsciously imagining it like for example you know you will attend a lot of conference next year and you always wanted to go to Japan and Germany (can be subconsciously) that's why you are dreaming of it and since both countries are popular countries then there is a big chance it will really happen.

I don't really want to say for sure that I have it because I don't really know how to use it anyway.. it just come and go naturally.. example, I know that I will be in a different place like a year before because I would be in a different place in my dream and meeting new people.. which coincidentally the people I'm with now... I hate to think that they mean something or I am special or gifted when I am not sure of this thing myself.. even when so many dreams had came true..Now I'm dreaming of being in the airport ... so many times.. going to Japan, Germany and one time not knowing where I was heading.. I guess it will happen anyway because I just got to know that I will do a lot of conferencing next year ..

Hi Phillyguy, like my responds earlier.. I also had lucid dreams.. I don't know why I kept dreaming of going to Japan.. I never wanted to go there in the first place.. never thought of the place either.. It seems like lately, I've been dreaming of checking in and checking out from Airport.. like I am going somewhere far... the last time I dreamt of travelling was before moving to another location.. I had no idea before that I will be moving to another location... if this mean that I will be moving to another place.. I sure going to miss this place now..

Explanation? You sound much more open-minded to the different levels of consciousness of the human mind. I have the same thing, in fact. I've had quite a few weird experiences...I've predicted the hospitalization of my grandpa, which was most recent. I had a dream where I met my husband...I was eight at the time, and the boy in the dream was unfamiliar, but I always remembered what he looked like because I felt it was important. When I was sixteen, I met him, and only two years later did I see a picture of that same boy on his mother's living room wall. After telling him about the dream, he seemed shocked and told me he'd had a dream about a younger girl with long hair past her butt, which is the way I wore it at the time. I've predicted other things that haven't happened yet, but I've started keeping a record of such things so people don't think I'm crazy once they pan out. Currently, the one that's bothering me most is my younger cousin getting his girlfriend pregnant...the kid's only fourteen and this inkling of mine is discouraging, but I feel there is little I can do about it. I also get flashbacks of the memories of people and animals. I've had it to where I've been in public, had a flashback, and saw that same public area in such a state that I've never seen it (the first was when I was little, and I had a flashback of being in a car from the 70s or 80s, waiting at a stoplight. The stores around me weren't the same buildings that were ever there as I knew it, until I actually did some research into the history of my own town). I also had a flashback when I was about eight of a dog's memory, in which I ran loose from the yard, heard a loud noise, looked up, and was run over by a car. I didn't know that it was true until I got home from school that day and learned that the neighbor's dog was run over. Lastly, I've also been able to think of a person and see what they're currently seeing, even if I'm far away. (This is also true of animals, but obviously impossible to test out for sure because the animal cannot concur with the vision.) This one is actually a lot of fun to test out in social situations. My brother loves to grab something of his that I've never seen and stare at it while on opposite ends of the room and listen as I tell him what it is and what it looks like. Sorry for the lengthy post...just know you're not alone. There are many different odd experiences you can have if you're open to it. It's interesting to note that your son has it as well. I wonder if it can be passed down as such or if it's only coincidence...either way, truly consider it a gift. There are many people who would love to have random experiences and visions and such happen to them. Personally, I'm grateful for it.

Hi LovingLife, yes you are right..most people think that I am a bit weird.. so I kept quiet about it.. few people knows that my dreams mean something... Sometimes I feel so grateful for this gift .. others I wish I have another gift... gift of interpretation.. My husband would be the data collector.. everytime I have different type of dream, he is the first person that I would tell and when the thing happened , we would discuss about it and both of us will feel the sense of amazement.. he told me not to tell anybody because people would think that I wanted to show of.. so I decided to share it here where nobody knows who I am.. You think nthere any explanation for this? To enhance or to understand?
